We still need 6 points so this could end up being makem fodder.

Agree on the defender point Mr T. Vertonghen would be a good pick

We need 4 points, 12 points clear of Everton with 15 to play for, so we would have to lose all 5 and they need 4 wins and a draw

Sorry to deceive you but Spurs had to play a qualifying round against Hearts to get in the group stages ...

If we get 5th doesn't that mean we avoid the preliminary stages of the competition as well? Basically it puts us straight into the cup rather than us having to qualify for it?

This! I'm sure 5th means you don't have to do all the qualifying rounds.

Today basically seals it and I really couldn't be happier.

I'm renewing my passport as we speak.

Chelsea might win the champions league and we would be ****ed!!!!! too soon to be making these claims I've decided.

It's close but still so far away.

Do we need Hoilett? With Obertan and Marveaux covering, I'm not sure. Then again, I wouldn't mind...

Moses as well from Wigan, if they go down.

    That'd be a great window:

In: Pieters, Douglas, Amalfitano, Moses/Hoilett, Probably some French blokes as well
    Out: All the deadwood only.

Not at all. Pieters for 6mill? Douglas the same? Hoilett with 2-3mill compensation? Moses 4mill? Dunno for Amalfitano. Some Carr gems not to pricey either.

Might get a few pennies in for Lover, maybe 500k, Ranger, Smith etc. would be on a free. Anyone know why we haven't just terminated Ranger's contract, surely there must be a release clause if he's in jail?

That would only effect us if we finished in fourth wouldn't it? In which case they would get in and we'd have to settle for the Europa League.

Hoilett is much better than Obertan.

Hoilett wouldn't be a covering player. As I've said before, just because a player isn't in the strongest possible line up doesn't mean he's cover. We need to be able to rotate our team around as top teams do.

Hoilett IMO would get regular games. He has fantastic pace, even quicker than Obertan. He's quick, can score 6-7 goals a season on a **** team like Blackburn.
