Chelsea have beaten Man United to make it the final of the FA youth cup for the third time in five years.

I think it fair to say the massive investment from RA in our youth system is bearing fruit.

Piazon has a more than decent chance.
Feruz, Kiwomya, Chalobah and Swift also look good prospects.

Feruz looks like he's going to be a real talent! The guy's only 16 and he's tearing the FA Youth cup up!

Just got back from the game & have to say I thought Piazon and Todd Kane were outstanding. Nathan Ake and Adam Nditi looked good as did captain Nathaniel Chalobah, who played in midfield instead of centre half. Nathan Ake looks a very good prospect and I hope Todd Kane & Piazon are given their chance in the first team soon. Chelsea did well enough but didn't get many breaks. All the loose balls seem to fall to United but Chelsea had the better chances overall. Well done to the youngsters.

Feruz is a real talent but like Piazon, he just needs to learn when to pass the ball as sometimes he tries take a little too much on for himself.

I have my doubts about Nditi. He seems a bit Glen Johnson-esque in that he's good going forward but looks suspect defensively. Still, should remember he is still only a youth so these things can be worked on.

At the start of the second half, there was a five minute spell where I thought United might run away with it but they just got worse and worse as the half went on and Chelsea might well have won the game on the night.
That said, Chelsea were a lot better in the second half. Feruz had been too isolated in the first half but I think we pushed up in the second and that made life difficult for United.

Fantastic !!! I'm upset because I didn't get to see it! I had builders in who didn't leave til 8 and then we had to put the house back in order and have a meal. The telly didn't go on til 9 . I'll just have catch up on CTV tomorrow!

Would love to see some kids come through, but as usual, they will go on loan, leave, or get sold off. Meanwhile we'll pay millions for mediocrity from elsewhere, buy players in positions we don't need , and fail to secure a really good creative midfielder or decent wingers.
    Some things never change.
Hope the Youth Team does themselves proud. Congratulations to them and best of luck.

Be honest mate I thought he defended quite well last night & linked up very well with Piazon 1st half. Second half most of Chelsea's attacking seemed to go down the right but to me, Todd Kane is the future right back for us. At least give him a run out in a league match cos he won't do any worse than Bosingwa
