I should have mentioned, the gigs are at Hull City Hall and you can get tickets here... http://search3.openobjects.com/kb5/hull/events/events.action?venue=5jKRUDZqSZM&sr=10&nh=10 And just before, Jimmy Carr's Gagging Order tour comes to town - Thursday 13 September, 7.30pm
Last year Tim Minchin would only play on the condition that he had Pringles on his rider. When the organisers intially didnt put them on he almsot pulled out. Genuine story.
lee hurst, havent seen out of him since they think its all over... cracking line up that, love francis and boyle and kevin bridges
Seen Kevin Bridges before, really good. The best act Hull Comedy Festival have put on is Patrick Monahan, IMO. Seen him twice in Hull - total laugh-a-minute stuff.
For ****'s sake, there's no way I'll be able to make any of them (most importantly Boyle, Carr, Bridges & Gilbert), I'll be at Uni.. Money's not too much of an object (I'll just starve for a fortnight) I just wouldn't be able to make the journeys.
I'd wait until you find out your timetable before writing it off (especially any Saturday shows). I've had the jammiest timetable going for the last two years, I only have to be in Tuesday-Thursday so doing weekends away, or back home in your case can be easy. Plus if your at a uni you'll probably have the same shows coming round to where you are at some point. (Being next to Edinburgh I wouldn't know for sure as we just get it all in August for the festival)
yup And i've already decided i'm going to see frankie boyle, rhod gilbert, jimmy carr, Kevin Bridges and Ross Noble
All of them are midweek As for football, I'll be doing Sports Journalism so I get free tickets to Sunderland games - of all the sides I could have found to adopt as my new second team..
