That pathetic excuse for a journalist has just said he isn't going to talk football because there arent any games of significance this weekend. Why doesn't he just admit he's a **** journalist who know nothing about football! Granted, its my own fault for listening to BBC radio suicide, but that really wound me up.
What we need more of in the media, is people being able to slightly change the names of other people/organisations in order to make them derisory insults. It would make media coverage generally more civilised and informative.
He's the most talentless imbecile ever to get on a radio station, he needs a good dry slap and the bloke who gave him the job wants shooting.
I can't think why the thick, ugly turd's not on tv.
The show is a joke not tuned in since last year i use to defend the show when burnsy was at the helm. But it got to a point were the guests were the rugby side of the show all the talk was rugby with very little football cause the guests didnt know enough to comment so they just moved on. Tonight at 7 i will be listening to WCHR FANS FORUM much better all city.
The BBC seems to have a jobs for life policy for its bad pundits, the one who gets me the most is Mark Lawrenson, he is the most useless unfunny sports commentator I've ever seen, can't comment on Gollum because I don't listen to anything he does.
I wasnt going to mention this but fook it.... you know the best thing about Gollum? I once posted something on another fans forum that was completely, 100% factually accurate and another comment that was my own personal opinion which I stand by. I was subsequently threatened with legal action from a third party representative going via the mods and not direct to me. I actually kind of wish I'd brought it on, because taken literally I meant every single word, they just chose to interpret my comments another unintended way. That was their twisted view of the situation, not mine and they wouldnt have stood a chance whilst the publicity wouldve been fun!
I take it that was on CI? Nash pulled one of my comments after a request from the beeb, though to be fair, I did suggest he was a *****phile.
I just couldn't believe my ears when he said he wasn't talking about football, according to him the season is over for all 3 Humberside teams and there were no games of any significance. I soon turned the radio off, just cannot stand him. How the hell he is still on the radio I don't know. Saw on another thread the Beryl and Betty ladies from radio Humberside and although I have never listened to their show and they seem very lovely old dears what kind of an advert for the local radio are the three of them. Think all the listeners must be well over 60. Mind you Peter Levy across lunchtime isn't bad sometimes, some reasonable discussions. Has anyone listened to Burns new show, what is that like.
His presenting is average but he is hugely letdown by his support team. They have nothing - and I mean nothing - to talk about. Who are his researchers and producer? Genuinley you get the feeling he has rocked up at 8.55am asking what they're doing today to be met by a shrug and some blank faces. I feel for him sometimes, manfully trying to fill 3 hours with nothing.
I heard his show a few times, I feel sorry for the woman they shifted to put him in there, I think she got on well with the target audience of oldies and truckies.
I remember the old green Sports Mail and, when you were off out early on a Saturday night, there was an old geezer in the Co-op doorway (King Edward St/Jameson St corner), selling the paper. His shout of "Sports Mail" sounded just like "Bog-Eyed"!
"......the season is over for all 3 humberside teams....." where exactly is this place or county called humberside? is it near nania?
i think he is being paid as sports editor but hosting a job he has never done before. at any other non-public organisation, the rotating door would be waiting to catch him. he is probably costing more than the bbc can afford. ironic when you think he commentates on Hull City
What is so disappointing is that the so called bosses at Radio Humberside or moreover the BBC in general must read and hear what local football supporters think about RH... the station has gone down the toilet and yet they still employ that idiot Gwillum Lloyd.. I despair I really do... I might add also that Burnsie must be desperate or in dire of paying his mortgage to have had to surrender his Sports Programme to that apology of a journalist/baffoon and have to take on a daily chat show with the local OAPs as an audience ffs.. sorry for the lack of punctuation but i am in a hurry to go to the pub.. Sort the fook out BBC please...
