Savage and the ten grand bet

    Robbie Savage , gets into a Newcastle taxi, chatting to the driver, he bets him £10,000 Newcastle wont get top four, driver got him to sign the bet. On tonights look north BBC, Savage sticks his hand up and says" he is a man of his word" and remembered the bet. And will gladly pay up.

    that was live on BBC look north, if you can I play it, worth a look.

    It was on the radio t the weekend and reckoned the bet ws for a new taxi cab (lieing gets)

    Can't see a cab driver betting 10,000quid, even if he has a blind love for his football club... That's alot of money for a bet in todays climate.

    it wasnt a bet the driver doesnt have to play anything

    he was mouthing off about newcastle getting top four at the start of the season and robbie said if you get top 4 i will buy you a new cab

    Still a good story through, and Savage will get more publicity about this than any £10,000 could buy. IIRC did not Rodney Marsh get his head shaved over some bet years ago also?
