Don't know if many watched the Chelsea game, and I know I've waxed lyrical about the kid before, but I honestly think this young lad is like a mini Ronaldo. He will be the next big thing in PL football. I don't know what the situation is at Fulham but I assume he'd be difficult to get out of there. I'd break the bank for him already if we wanted to buy one superstar, he's that good. At 18 yrs old the future looks very bright for him. He is lightening quick, skilful, strong and fearless. Come on Mike, you know it makes sense.
Saw him yesterday and looks like a cracking little player and i was thinking "god if only we could get this kid on the other wing to Hatem, either side of Cisse that would be enough to scare any team in the world". IS he at Fulham or is he on loan there from somewhere else. Like the OP said would break the bank to get the kid in after sorting out the defence.
At 18 I don't think you necessarily have to drop anyone. But my personal view is Cisse and Ba will be fighting for one place most of the time. This would leave a hole on the left. Obviously we have Jonas but he is versatile, and needs competition. A lot depends how young Fergie and Marveaux are viewed of course. I just think this kid is something special. He could play right, left, centre or off a front man. The swiss will have some serious creativity with him and Shaqiri. Not sure about loans etc. If he is not even Fulhams player, get in there now! I suspect he is though.
He's looked quality when I've seen him play. As goes Magaye Gueye (sp?) at Everton. Both have great potential.
He's Swiss with Moroccan ancestry, so he probably does speak French. He recently signed a contract extension with Fulham to 2015 so he would be hard to prise away from them
He'll stay with us for a good few years yet, seems like a humble guy- not going to chase money or risk being a bench warmer. Jol will bring him through the right way. He's a good prospect, maybe not as great as the OP suggests- last night was one of his best performances though. He's a bit wasted on the left because he is heavily right footed. Most runs end with him turning onto his right foot (and into the defence) before playing it back to Riise or Dembele. Over on the right he could take the defender on and put a cross in. I think he has the potential to be an Adam Johnson type player, rather than Ronaldo.
But he was born in Austria? I think he's as Swiss as Vinnie Jones is Welsh, his gran once took a holiday there. There's no way we'd get him, Fulham would demand stupid money, and even if they were to sell, every club around Europe would want him.
Maybe I have only seen the best of him! I just see so much of Ronaldo in the way he carries himself and his athleticism. Obviously I'm putting him at great heights already saying he could become that, but at 18 I really do think anything is possible. As I say I'd happily break the bank for him. To be fair I don't think he'll be leaving you's anytime soon. Little point in selling him now when his value may well double after the Euros and another season or two. The thing with him is it all seems very natural and simple.
He played without fear yesterday, and I think that can have a positive effect on the players around him. The real challenge lies ahead, he needs to get a starting spot and learn to handle the additional attention from defenders. At the minute he can be neutralised by leaving the left flank open for him to go down. If he puts the effort in though he could be a huge player for Fulham, along with Kaca, and the development of our academy.
He was running the show at times. Everyone loves exciting, unpredictable players but have we got room for another. Teams only tend to have 2 or 3 and we've got Ben Arfa, Jonas and who knows Marveaux and Obertan could be of that ilk
