In a way I hope he does go to a good prem team and does amazingly well just to prove to the boo boys how stupid they are. Of course i'd rather some of our ''fans'' actually strarted supporting our players. Anyone who says hes lazy watch him hes a big lad and moves in a funny lethargic way but he puts in a shift every match. Also the fact that he scores goals gets assits and has actually barely played in his best posistion for us should shut the haters up. Theres a guy behind me who litteraly all he does is slate guly all match and howls at adkins to get him off, he ingores any skill or goals he scores hes just a dick basically but unfortunatly there are alot of them at st marys.

Don't agree I have seen a lot of games and think we are quite vulnerable down the left. Think the reason is Lallana likes to drift going forward and often goes missing defensively and covering foxy!

The more I think about it the more pissed I get. Were TOP of the championship two wins away from the prem and yet our idiotic fans have to have a target I really would rather they f*cked off. What happens if this upsets the dressing room? As a club we have some great fans some of them are just mindless morons, I'd rather have a fan base of 5k which actually supported the team than 32k which boo a team about to make back to back promotions.

Shocking how many fans have short memories! He has got 11 goals plus assists, that is equal with West hams top goal scorer this season (noble)!

I didnt see or hear any racial abuse today but that is disgusting!

Guly has been a crucial member of the team this season and like all players have had a dip in form!
I think there are a lot of very spoilt Saints fans out there this season if they are moaning about this guy!

What a dampner on a day which I think pencilled our Prem status, to all the saints fan which booed or were racist we could do without you there next game!

I think it is very sad that at one of the best times to be a Saints fan one of our players is having it ruined for him. If we get promoted, this should be a highlight of Guly's career. Very sad indeed.

I noticed at the Pompey game after he was taken off he went down the tunnel before the end of the game, which I found a bit strange. He didn't go straight away, I remember he got up off the bench and walked down the tunnel, just like he'd got bored watching or something!?

No. What do you expect the lad to do? He puts in effort, as much as any other Saints player, yet gets **** from our fans after one miss-placed pass or sarcastically cheered when he does something like complete a pass or win a header. He needs support, the guy is in a completely foreign country, doesn't speak the language, and instead of trying to make him feel at home, some c*nts only decide to pick up on the negatives rather than the whole host of positives.

If I were him i'd feel isolated and unwanted.

After all he's done for us, all the goals and assists, there are still ****ers in our fanbase that literally hate him.

I deal with the public every day and almost all are lovely or at least polite, but it just takes one of them to be unreasonable and rude and it ruins my day (because unfortunately smacking them in the mouth is frowned upon: rule 125c I believe). Guly's day is ruined by a few out of a large crowd and he probably feels resentment, hence the walking off. He has contributed with goals and assists, it's up to Adkins to sort it out if he is not contributing so much now.

Exactly hes a pro whos getting paid good money to do a great job. HOWEVER being booed by people far less talented than you must be horrible when theyre doing it when youve put your heart and soul into a club played very well and the rest of the team are getting worshiped it must be sickening. I have no sympahy for players like tevez but you know if Guly said f it I dont need to take this sh*t and just didnt bother playing I wouldnt blame him. As fran said this should be the higlight of his career and he should be on cloud nine not feeling like crap because of some small minded bigoted moronic idiots.

What happened first - Guly getting sulky or fans turning on him? If he got sulky which made people hate him it would be justifiable. However as it is the morons in the stands who made the first move, I don't blame Guly at all for being upset.

    Guly is a scapegoat.

Decent player, sure he can come across as lazy but he does his bit for the team and I think he's a good player.

Just because we don't win doesn't mean it's all his fault!

A very good point. I hope it doesn't effect Guly in the long term. You can say what you like about Puncheons temperment and what may or may not have happened behind the scenes, but alot of that saga was borne from him being isolated by the fan's even though we were climbing the league table. Although it might not of manifested on the match day's until more recently, there's been alot of negative commentary on this board surrounding Guly for large portions of the season, unjustified given how the clubs done - and how his stats show he's contributed to that success. I just hope that he can hear the sensible fans at the next game,

****ing hell, some of you really don't know anything about football. I almost want Guly to go now, so he can play for a club where he is fully appreciated for the all-round, intelligent footballer he is. I wasn't aware that running around like a headless chicken for 90 minutes was a justification of commitment. It's remarkable that such a rounded, classy footballer in double figures for goals and assists, and such an integral, ever-present component of our most successful team in many years can be so hounded by his own fans. I am aware it's only a minority but for ****'s sake.. poor, poor guy.

Well said, and with passion. I totally agree... except for the almost wanting Guly to go bit. ;)

His quality will shine in the PL. Just a shame he's 30.

Yeah awful attitude. He should have apologised to each of the fans who had come all the way to South London (and had to stand up for 90 whole minutes) for completely ruining their day with his abysmal performance which completely overshadowed the team's victory.

You need an emoticon/smiley in there somewhere, otherwise those that haven't read your previous post will take you literally. ;)
