Newcastle for 4th!

I really hope you guys make 4th, and I think you will too. What do you guys reckon your chances of doing so are? And if you do, even if you only get 5th, who do you see you getting in the summer?

 

I think our chances of 5th are very high.

We've conceded 1 goal in 5 games and apart from about 50-60 minutes of ****e today, we've been fantastic recently. I think if we had Steven Taylor fit througout the season we would be 4 at least by now and probably be locked level with Arsenal and Spurs.

We've had a **** load of bad injuries this season, and still got to the level which we are now.

We have a decent chance of 4th, fantastic chance of 5th.

 

No chance if you ask me! Chelsea are going to get it.

We will finish 6th but Everton are nailed on to win against Liverpool so are season will be totally fruitless really.

Not fair really but that's what'll happen.

Should it not occur I'd expect Pieters, Douglas and a few surprise signings.

 

Come on mate, don't be so negative. I admit it's going to be tough but look at Chelsea run in. They have a very tough fixture list overall.

Even if they do win tonight, we're all joint on points.

Our GD is rising fast because we're not conceding. We've conceded 1 goal in 5 games, and we've won every one.

I reckon we'll be 6th but it will be terribly close. I see us getting Eric Pieters and Douglas and Anthony Knockaert.

 

Think it might be beyond us think we'll finish 6th, got a funny feeling Liverpool will beat Everton though.

 

God I hope so because we will do well in the europa league and the team deserves a place.

 

Does 5th place mean we don't have to go through the qualifying rounds of the Europa League and we get automatic qualification?

 

We'll finish 6th IMO. We haven't got a squad for a European campaign, but I hope so much that we'll get a place.

 

IMO I think people who say we haven't got a big/good squad are wrong.

We lack depth in certain areas, but we have proven time and time again we can win without our full strength team, and with serious weaknesses.

We just need to strengthen a bit at the back and I believe we have more than enough to do well in Europe.

I mean... ****ing Birmingham showed that most of the teams in the earlier stages of Europe are no better than championship quality. We could do well in the early stages.

I think we could get to the later stages.

We just need to sign a solid CB around Stevey Taylors level. Another quality fullback. Maybe a covering GK.

Our defence needs a bit of strengthening for depth, but thinking about it, our defence has had a massive blow, yet it's only conceded 1 goal in 5.

Organisation matters as much as quality.

Newcastle and Sunderland are the two clubs that have shown quality at the back doesn't mean everything and organisation and management is key to a good defence.

We've been playing Perch and Willo, two players that everyone thought were CC quality at best. And we've only conceded 1 goal in 5 games!! And that was because of a miscommunication between CB and GK.

 

Unless Everton lose the Cup Final, Liverpool will be the team to go in before the season starts, if we qualify our 1st qualifier will be on 23rd August 5 days after the season is due to start.

 

Jesus Christ Europa League is ****ing annoying.

Why can't it be top 3 CL qualifers, 4th Qualifying rounds, 5th and 6th Europa, 7th qualifying rounds for Europa.

My aim atm is just 5th. Watching Fulham vs Chelsea. Hoping Fulham get a goal back or even win.

5th will be guaranteed Europe. Enough to keep our players at the club.

We need to keep our best players, or at least lose 1-2 minimum.

 

It will all be a lot clearer at the weekend after the Everton v Liverpool game.

 

I just can't bring myself to support Liverpool.

 

Yes, Dempsey! such a danger man the guy. 1-1 come on Fulham, one more! If Chelsea lose today I think we have a great chance of getting 5th. If we beat Wigan and Stoke and get at least 2 points from the remaining 3 fixtures.

 

I'm gonna stick a stack on Everton and the draw.... That way if the dippers get beat and I'm gutted... I can get ****ered to help me over it.
