Where do you think we'll finish?

Discussion in 'Tottenham Hotspur' started by Moorpheus19, Mar 10, 2012.

  1. Wow!

    That's extremely negative, my friend.

Have faith. We've been in the CL places all season, even despite the tapping-up of Moddy, Harry's trial, and our dip in form caused by Harry's flirtation with his England dream.

I'm expecting 4th, at least, with a realistic hope of 3rd, still.

  2. Don't give up on 2nd just yet - at least not after Citehs performance today!!!! Lol

Personally if someone offered me 4th today I would bite their hand off. (after taking the offer of course)

Hoping that The Chavs lose their top goal scorer Ivanovic for a few games when he gets banned for violent conduct!!!

  3. Have any charges been brought?

I doubt the FA will do anything. If they were interested in any kind of justice, Chelsea would not have won, this weekend.

  4. Nothing official yet, but it won't be from lack of effort on my part in getting some focus on it!!!
Dropped a few comments on the Chavs board earlier and got the impression that Ginger (skid) Marks wasn't enamoured of my contribution....... :emoticon-0105-wink:

yeah that van persie really saved our asses again today .... no wait ..............it was arteta wasnt it . its hilarious that whenwe score 5 goals against you , even tho RVP scores only ONE of them , you keep telling yourselves we are a one man team .

Delude yourselves by all means but its really not productive .

Now youll say " yeah but he has scored half of all your goals "

Well , dont YOUR strikers score most of your goals ?

    I dunno , your a funny lot .

I think toon will just fall short...Chelsea seem to have used up a lot of luck and have some hard matches...local derby tomorrow, barca x 2, arsenal away and city away so can see them dropping some points. I think we can win our home games have started to get Lennon fit, and have been looking much stronger...arsenal have the wind behind them and a real sense of belief so I can see them 3rd and us or Chelsea 4th probably decided on the last day...with BMJ coming to the lane with his Fulham team to deny us and help Chelsea....im taking my daughter to the Fulham match so its bound to happen!

Can't remember if I posted in this thread before, but anyway, I think we're going to finish 4th. However, if we don't beat Norwich tomorrow, I think that'll be top 4 gone. It's that tight now, Norwich is the archetypal 'must win' game, IMHO.

CFC fan in peace - I think you guys will get 3rd or 4th I just don't see us sprinting to the tape especially with games like Arsenal & Liverpool (A) & Newcastle (H). We stuffed up by not slinging out AVB a month earlier; had that happened we'd be pushing you a lot closer.

Yeah I am a little negative because clubs like Chelsea (one of the media's 'Big 4' still) will keep getting dodgy decisions in their favour - the fans will claim it all evens out, but if you look at the large number of decisions that have gone against us this season, it's difficult for us to say 'it all evens out' - I'm talking Adebayor's numerous 'offside' goals, the entire Stoke match, Balotelli etc etc.

If BMJ does us a favour tonight and we can restore the gap to 6 then I might swing back to 'we should get top 4' but who knows <laugh>

Well so much for stretching the gap to 6.

Newcastle are level with us and Chelsea will be a maximum of 3 points behind.

We played terribly, at home, against a promoted side - Norwich played well and they've been great this season but that was as much a 'home banker' as you can expect in the PL these days.

Disgrace - 6th place it is!

That could easily be bye, bye CL. Even worse, probably bye, bye to Modric and maybe others as well!

And yet, they're as much to blame for our current position.

Harry's squad rotation has been poor but people like Modric just haven't turned up lately.

Because they've been played too often and our tactics have been awful.

Newcastle certainly don't share top 4 credentials with Chelsea and Spurs but it comes down to just 5 games now and either team can qualify with a mere run of form, it's to a toss of a coin now.

I know what you mean. I mean it's not like Man Utd got beat 3-0 by us, or Man Utd got beat at home 3-2 by Blackburn, or Arsenal got beat 8-2 by Man Utd, or Spurs got beat by Arsenal 5-2. Oh wait <doh>

Your first sentence basically reads as "Your form in recent times has been good because of the strengths in your team". Of course it bloody has. That's the point of strengths in a team <doh>.

I couldn't give a crap about 'credentials'. We're 2nd in the form table with 5 wins on the trot. Whoever racks up enough points and gets 4th deserves the spot. It's as simple as that. Neither Spurs or Chelsea have any more of a right to it than we do.

As for your little defensive stat, it's incredibly misleading as 10 of those goals came in only two games in which we had two big off-days. That's actually 32 conceded goals over 31 games which would put us, you guessed it, around the top 4 positions.

Your age of 8 sounds about right by the looks of your post.

Credentials only mean so much - we know this better than most after being relegated with 9 International regulars in our starting 11!

I don't think we're a better team than Chelsea or Tottenham but the league table doesn't lie...First we'd not played anyone, then we were lucky, then we'd miss our African players, then we'd lose everyone in January, then we'd get tired, then the pressure would get to us...Pundits are running out of ways to write us off and yet here we are...Crazy? Yes! Unpredictable? Yes! Deserved? Yes!

I personally do think we'll fall away because of our final games, but 5th upwards and Pardew HAS to be manager of the season for me! 6th and he'll still have done incredibly well!
