What are your thoughts of it, I thought it was a joke when I saw it at first, I wonder what Scally was thinking when he said yes to that. So what are your thoughts, if you have not seen it here it is. I don't personally like it, I saw don't change something when it is not broken.
The kits are to mark the centinary year of the club under the name Gillingham FC and in the first year, the club played in those colours... http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Gillingham/Gillingham.htm
I like them tbh would be nice to win the league in them next year once hessenthaler is gone and we actually play football
Maybe it could be new kit new start, and a cup to celebrate 100 years of us at Gillingham football club, wait a minute, wake up, however I always believe and I would still believe we could go up next season.
You can now vote on what you think about the new Kit, I believe a lot of people will have a view on this as it is important to the club, when you have voted you can share your view below on what you think.
Just hope it's more red (like Manchester Gill's link - interesting info by the way..) than the orange on Hoadie's pic. Fair enough to reproduce the kit for the centenary, but don't think the designers got it right 100 years ago.
Yeah it makes us look non league in my eyes as it looks cheap and old, much like Chatham Town's badge and also Accrington.
Loads of people on Facebook and on the radio are showing their discontent towards the new kit, one person compared it to the defence and called it 'Laughable'
I had to check the date when this thread started. When I saw the shirt, I thought it must have been an April fool from a week ago, but I can see it wasn't. It's awful. Absolutely hate it.
When I saw the picture earlier I had to check it and then to the horror I see it was true and I was like ****, no it can't be.
I'ts only the centenery for the name change to Gillingham and wont feel right singing come on you shots, daggers reds ...I mean Gills
Because this is for a special occasion, I don't have a problem with having an old-fashioned kit (and badge) even though the designer appears to be a Dagenham fan... They would probably look better when they will be modelled by the players in the summer.
I think we have no choice but to grow to them as Scally won't change it now. I will probably still get the shirt, but I still think the badge is bad.
It looks bloody awful - but after todays performance I would force them to play in skirts - it might make the team play better - so as to stop other teams and their fans from extracting the urine - or - for those with the swearing filter switched off - taking the piss
This shirt has historical links to the first team to play as Gillingham, I will buy it and wear it with pride. UTG.
