Apparently they cost the UK economy £2.3bn. I say yes scrap bank holidays (I don't get them anyway) but add the equivalent number to days to people's annual leave entitlement. That's a better system because it means we can take our days off when we want them instead of mandatory days off when, perhaps we don't want them.
This forum is ****e now. Talking about bank holidays and endless threads about the weather. Where's the rape chat, amputee porn and chokey **** stories?
What a load of ****. We get less leave and bank holidays than everyone else in the EU anyway, so stop moaning because you've got to work them.
I do have to work them but I get the days added to my AL entitlement. I think that is a much better way of organising days off for employees.
It's funny how the likes of the CBI are always releasing reports telling us how much we cost the economy by taking holidays, taking sick leave, going to the toilet etc. but they never tell us how much we give back by having to work unpaid through lunch breaks, on the way to and back from work and in our own time in the mornings, evenings etc. And considering the number one hobby seems to be shopping nowadays I find it hard to believe that the economy is losing money on bank holidays.
It would put those think tank workers out of of a job though wouldn't it, and that would be a good idea....oh hang on, that would put them on the dole and that would not help the economy
Quite Ironic that most of us are probably sitting at work posting on here............While moaning about people ruining the economy
Say the ****ing office cat, who spends all his time on the t'internet forums like all the office jobbies on here, instead of working costing the ecomomy
