Wigan have never taken a Premier League point off of us but with them fighting against relegation I am expecting a much tougher game. The thing that gives me confident going into this match is how well we have played away from home this season, far better than our home performances. We play with a much higher tempo and the fact that the home side come at us more makes the game more open. A win will be vital as I expect City to beat West Brom at the Etihad.
same here, i think we'll win there probably 2-0. I created a matchday thread for this game yesterday - http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/135882-Wigan-Athletic-vs-Manchester-United
Normally we beat Wigan by 5 goals, but the last few seasons they have made some games pretty tight. And it always seems like we go to Wigan close to winning a title. In 2008, we beat them 2-0 away to clinch the title. In 2009, we beat them 2-1 to pretty much ensure the title. 2012?
Normally when we go to Wigan they are in mid table with nothing to play for. This time however they are fighting for their lives. Expecting a tougher game than usual.
