We should have won 2-1, Scummer influenced refereee ignored the linesman flagging for Sharp being blatantly 2 yards offside to go 2-1 up then buckled. Usual cheating Scummers!. Top of the league they are having a laugh!.......................
Hi SB3, hope you enjoyed the game. Currently on my 3rd beer to try and cool my throat down. Sharp wasn't offside I'm afraid, the ball nicked off a blue player. Hope you had a good old toot on your vuvuzela, and a sing song and a pleasant bus journey. Your boys impressed today with their fighting spirit and yes, my lot bottled it. It was a cracking game and you boys helped make it a cracking atmosphere. Best of luck for the rest of the season and if you keep battling like that you will survive. PUP and COYS!
2 shots, 2 (admittedly excellent) goals. Other than that, p*mpey's main threat was to our players ankles. I thought the ref had a bit of a mare, letting the bunch of hatchet men in blue get away with murder like that.
Actually, we had 8 shots on target and only 3 off target (a surprising ratio for us), admittedly against your 14 and 7 (and Ladida's dives) but it was nowhere near as one-sided as your stripey tinted glasses suggets.
Bit of an unfair, biased comment Archers - Kelvin Etuhu had a superb shot on goal, well saved by your keeper, and you obviously missed Lambert wrapping both arms around Jason Pearce's throat. Still never mind, eh ?................. Not our fault your team are a bunch of namby pambys is it ? Good luck for the rest of the season
Don't talk rubbish you wum.A draw was probably a fair result, your lads played out of their skins, big shame that we couldn't beat you! Our fans and your fans and were fantastic and the game itself was also great it was a really good advert for the south coast derby and it wraped up english football aswell the match should be shown to anyone who dislikes football. It must feel like a win for you guys and it certainly feels like a defeat for us Hopefully we'll go up,I think we'll just hobble across the finishing line. Good luck for the rest of the season and next.
A Wum ?, SB3 always speaks the truth and offside it was ,the ref & linesman bottled it just like you scummers.
i still think it looks like your boy got a glance on it before it hit varney. not that I'm bothered i think the game would have ended 1-1 anyway we wouldn't have had the incentive to go forward with the intent we did for the late goal otherwise.
I think you'll find it's the last touch that counts. Anyway, Appy said it was the right decision so that should be the end of it. What about Rocha's little altercation with the crowd? He was obviously getting it large from the home masses but that's no excuse for doing what he did. Mind you, when I saw it part of me thought, "Wow he's really up for this," until I had time to reflect. Another example of how our tribal bias can cloud our judgement.
Are you going to join me in a drink to celebrate Saints becoming the Champions of the South Coast, Minging?...Brighton can't catch us now!...
shut up you tw at, It came off your central defender so Sharp is on side. Have a look at the rules you fish f***
Having seen the incident I can't argue against it being a goal. If it hadn't deflected off of the defenders head then Sharp would have been offside but it did so he wasn't and goal stands.
SB3 Firstly you cannot be offside from a corner in the first phase of play. Once it has been touched by a player attacking your goal then the ball is alive and the second phase begins. However this is not what happened look at the video evidence. The ball came across from the corner (first phase) was not touched by an attacker until it reached Billy Sharp (still first phase) and was promptly put into the net. It was your own centre half that passed it to him!! So sadly as usual SB3 you take half a story twist it with your bitter little mind. In an attempt to show how much you know about the rules of football....which clearly is not very much. The thing that I find the most difficult to understand is you take such great delight in alienating yourself from the Saints fans that come on here without whom in the main this site would close down. You have also chosen to alienate yourself from the few true blues that still post on here. The majority of whom clearly do not agree with your view of things at all. The sad thing is underneath that bitterness can be a good poster offering some interesting and often comical posting. Why don't you let that person come to the fore more often. It was a good match yesterday a fair result, one you deserved. A big pity your side doesn't put the same effort in week after week. Not only could you have done us a favour by getting some decent results, but yourselves as well. You would not have been in the sticky situation you are now in even with the penalty points deduction. Each point you earn between now and the end of the season will be greeted with same passion as the last one and will be just as sweet to the taste. Good luck in your battle Pompey you are going to need it!!
draw was definitely a fair result. but the goal shouldn't have stood, the ball definitely flicked off 2 players on its way through to sharp, it flicked off a stain before deflexting off our defender. as sharp was offside when it took the faint touch off the southampton player then its offside, even if it hits a pompey player on the way through to him; neil swarbrick chould be 100% sure it hasn't touched a southampton player before overuling his linesman.
I have looked at the replay on several occasions including slow motion.....there is not the slightest evidence of it touching a "Saints" player other than sharp. Even on the Football league show they agreed with the decision and whats more your manager confirmed it came off your player. What more evidence do you need?
We shouldn't of won that game. I've watched highlights, I support Portsmouth. Sharp was offisde, but it came off Varney; Saints dominated the game. But we hit two ****ing excellent strikes.
