United's army of fans in the Home Counties can come on here and gloat as much as they like. But I have to say that, on the strength of that and other recent displays, I'm surprised they're on top of the league and favourites to win the title. They've won 2-0 with a dubious penalty, a disgraceful dismissal and a great strike from an old-timer called back because he's still better than younger players brought in to replace him. What was effectively a 1-0 defeat over 75 minutes, 11 v. 10, I'm not as pissed off as I thought I'd be. I'm still concerned about the Rs lack of teeth up front, though. I think the defence is fine, but they've gotta find a way to play further up the field.
Well we played our most difficult game with a 3 man disadvantage and are still out of the relegation zone. Despite the officials being total ****s, I think we would have all taken that on friday. Lets hope we are still 17th on Weds. Man Us next game is Wigan, Lets hope Mason refs them again!
I'm just delighted I chose to go to West Brom next week instead of shelling out £50 for a ticket today and **** knows how much to get there. We may well have lost 10-0 with eleven men but we'll never know. You can't help but feel robbed when a linesman and referee can get it so hopelessly wrong. And as for Young...
Yeah, but the truth is we'd happily take it if he does it for England at the Euros. Just wish we could stamp out all this so-called 'simulation' and return to the man's game it once was. Bunch of ****ing nancy boys these days.
Yeah, we was robbed, but actually all said and done we got away with that one...We came away from the weekend without losing ground. Really back in our own hands now The lads done really well today
That was no match. That was a travesty and everyone knew it - including SAF. No denying United took their foot off the gas in sympathy as a result. I hate being pitied, and that's what it was. Defence was good enough but absolutely nowt going forward.
Young is a ****ing disgrace to football, should give up and get a contract in Hollywood, do all the dives they want. And an abysmal performance from the refereeing team again
Not easy for Betty today though Brix. He did win a few headers, but he really is no better than a championship player imo.
Totally agree, spot on, absolutely no offensive threat, so the best we could have got today was a 0-0 draw.
gotta say, in defence of Betty, ManU defence was a grade better than Arsenals a week ago, and he didn't have too much balls to go for. Much harder task for him than BZ against Arses.
defence worked well again, no major mistakes. And Taiwo held Valencia in check most of the time. only the lack of one holding midfielder turned the game too much against us.
I don't think Zamora would have done a lot better given how deep the rest of the team was. He didn't even have the sort of scraps to feed off that Zamora can make the most of.
