Amen, as much as I think Holty deserves a shot, I also rank him on a level of professionalism above the complete shambles that is the FA and national squad. Holty has more heart that 90% of that squad put together. Bunch of overrated, prima donnas.

BBC Football pundits, in the majority, are waste of space tax payers money. The money they make presenting this show is obscene. Their predictions are wildly inaccurate and usually based along the lines of...team X are higher in the league that team Y, so team X will win. The only time they do not make that prediction is when there is only 1 place between the two teams in the league - it does not take a genius to predict on that basis As for the post match analysis Sorry, Norwich who??? Earlier today saw Man Utd playing another team and showed all us why they are going to win the PL again. oh they won again did they? Earlier today saw Chelsea playing another team in their push for Champions League football. Not doing too badly huh? Get rid of Shearer, Hansen and Lawrenson and bring in Dixon and Rosenior. Those two are better than the rest of them put together.
I didn't watch MOTD until this morning and before I logged on I had already said to Mrs CT through a haze of toast crumbs "WTF do they pay that prat Lawrenson for,just saying NO isn't analysis". So I think it's a valid point.TBH I don't especially care about England.I know they are useless and will fail just as they always do,but on a personal level Holt deserves his chance.
The bloke is an absolute ****, I had just about calmed down after watching it last night and have just watched it again this morning and am seething again. So patronising in the credit he did give us, and he used the word "moaning" two or three times which is a pretty unusual word to use, particularly when we had every right to question what on earth the ref was doing all game. Can someone get a petition rolling to get these arseholes off our screen? I'm 100% sure we aren't the only set of fans who feel like this
Why don't you all spend your time writing to the BBC instead if you feel that strongly. Football punditry has always poor, why the surprise and indignation, we have known that there is vast bias towards certain teams since the dawn of time.
OK I like Crouch and think he is a very good player, but on currecnt form Holt is doing more than enough to be in the squad. Apart from the fact he plays for a team in yellow I would think he was a certianty for the euros. However even if he did get picked they would not dare play him. He might actually show some heart and then ruin their collective throwing of the 1/4 final. We all know football is a corrupt game where money talks......
I can appreciate why everyone on here is so upset about the comments from Lawrenson. We all know the bloke talks a load of rubbish. I find it really irritating that part of our licence fee is wasted on employing him along with all the other biased and ignorant pundits on the BBC. It's surely time to kick Lawrenson into touch. How can he possibly completely dismiss Grant Holt's chances when he is the second highest English scorer in what is one of the toughest leagues in the world?! Let's hope Grant can keep banging the goals in between now and the end of the season and Lawrenson is left with egg on his face.

Why were all the controversial incidents ignored too? It's only recently dawned on me (I know I'm slow) the poor editing does completely alter the story of the match. The Fulham game was a prime example. The minute and a half we got made it look like we were second best throughout the whole game.
Unless you're a team from the top four, or Liverpool, a team from London or got into the Premier League with a rich owner the pundits don't care. Lawrenson said that about Crouch cos he's an ex-Liverpool player.
