Subs: Elliot, Santon, Douglas, Perch, Marveaux, Knockhaert, Shola

Others: Willo, Raylor, Fergy, Guthrie, Gosling, Obertan, Sammy, Vuckic, Best.

This to me; is what I can see us transforming into. I would personally swap Douglas for Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa but that's wishful thinking.
All round it looks strong to me with Santon, Douglas, Marv and Knockaert all competing to play their part aswell as all the capable back up. I suspect my opinion on the incomings are likely to be off and nobody with half a brain cell would bank on the likes of Ba, Tiote and Simpson amongst others being taken away either. This to me looks onwards and upwards, so what does everybody expect for the not too distant future?

I hope we have Hoilett also.

We will need to rotate the team around weekly to avoid fatigue if we're playing in Europe.

The top teams change their line ups pretty much every week.

I agree with every sentence but the 1st one... I don't expect Jnr Hiolett nor would it excite me that much either, Knockaert is a young, hungry and cheaper alternative wage wise and could eclipse Jnr, That seems to be part of the NUFC code.

I think Simmo will stay until his contract ends, doesn't seem to want to sign a new one but as long as he's here Pardew will play him. He's very happy to put Santon in the doghouse, thought it was quite insulting to the lad that he played Jonas at LB instead of him.

If Simmo goes which isn't unlikely Santon would be 1st pick to replace him, If Simmo did go I would want the top brass to splash a little on Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa too... the quality will help us to the next level.

Hello, Santon is 20? Its not really insultng when one of the teams most experienced players plays ahead of you when you're 20.

Hello, Jonas isn't even a left back and that showed against Liverpool. Santon has played quite a lot of games this season and done well, and he's 21.

Santon is one of those who will improve upon Premier League experience. At the beginning he looked lost and now with games under his belt he is starting to make tackles, interceptions and clearances. From now I want to see his dribbling, build up play and end product and he can move on to become one of the worlds best young full backs.

    Players we need to lose

Lover = old and passed it
Ranger = lose canon who personally states he is a gangster 1st football 2nd WTF
Simpson = lacks concentration and is often found out of position
Williamson = One good game against liverpool does not win me over/ could have gave away a penalty, slow better suited in the championship
    Smith = Say no more

    In
Pieters for left back = allowing Santon Rb
    Another Cb
    Back up for Cb
    Back up for Rb
    Midfielder

    New contracts
    Ba

However Fat mike will now think he can sell top players and replace them on the cheap as it has worked this season

Losing Simmo and Willo will not help us. We need to increase squad depth not lose it.

Willo isn't a bad defender, he just can't be relied on for consistency over a long period of time. He's good for covering 4-5 games or so. When he first came back he was solid.

We just need to buy another quality CB that can rival Saylor for that first team spot.

I like the sound of our CB depth with these players -

    Colo
    Saylor
    Douglas
    Willo
    Perch

We have two quickish CB's that are intelligent and are mobile. We'll have 2 CB's that can deal with physical threats very well and can be perfect partners for Colo. And we have Willo. Willo can be useful if we're going into Europe. We just need to be in a position where Willo is basically a cover CB to play in the odd game where we have injuries. Not one that will be just behind the first choice CB's and have to be relied upon long term.

We will need to rotate a lot and we cannot rely on Saylor being first for a full season if he's gonna be first choice to partner Colo.

And about Simmo - We lack depth in the fullback area as it is. Simmo isn't brilliant, and we should go for better to balance the quality around our defence, but he could be a very valuable member of the squad, similar to Willo.

Willo and Simmo should be kept.

Ranger and Smith = Can **** off.

Lover = Good player, technical, but he's never gonna get a game. He should go to a CC team. He can score 15+ goals for a team in that league and be a creative spark.

Well for a start you can rule Tiote and Ba out of the equation, however I under the impression Moses is the intended replacement which wouldn't be bad. I expect tiote to replaced with another free be but does anyone know of any linked?

To be honest if Cisse keeps scoring worldys every game he'll be on his way soon.

Are you actually a troll? Sometimes you offer good, insightful opinions, but you never think positively. Ruling out Ba and Tiote straight away?

We are very much in the push for 5th place, and we are so close to being in Europe. Ba may have been a bit disappointed recently for being away from the goals, but the comments from some fans that he's depressed and suicidal are very over exaggerated.

He's obviously disappointed that he's not scoring, but he knows how much the fans love him, he's at a club with a few of his best mates. He's an intelligent bloke and he knows there's still time to get goals this season, and even if he doesn't score for the rest of the season, he knows he can score in the future. He has the talent.

I think if we're in Europe, Ba would only leave if one of the top two clubs comes in for him, and I think both of them clubs would aim higher.

And then there's the club. Our club will only accept silly money for Ba and Tiote, and the only clubs I reckon will offer that sort of cash is City and Liverpool. Our players wont leave to go to Liverpool. Maybe last season but not now. And City... I think Ba and Tiote are below their standards mate.

Man Utd may be interested in Tiote and Ba, but I doubt they'd be willing to pay 25m which is the least I think our club would accept for them.

I hope your're correct, however I'm usually right about most things in life. I'm schooled in SODS law for many many years now. I hope we sell nobody and get in to the europa league but the writing is on the wall when bids come in for either, Big money will come in for Tiote and Ba well this clause thing isn't a lie.

You've guessed a lot of negative ****, and guessed right at times. Even if you are right, you constantly look at the negative side of things. Instead of remaining postive.

I will be sad if we lose Ba and Tiote, but I wont be negative and assume we're gonna be doomed. Anyone who views the loss of a couple of players as ****ing doomsday obviously doesn't value our team very much.

Tiote hasn't played very often this season, and we have shown that we can win without him. Tiote is very useful indeed and can boost the quality of our midfield. But he can be more than replaced with money we get for him along with our scouting system.

HOWAY THE LADS! Be positive mate. You're not a bad bloke MrTiote, you just need to be positive. You need to look at the whole situation instead of just spouting negative reactions to every little thing.

I'm not saying were doomed mate, however I'm ruling out success. I predicted us to win away at Stoke and few others that most people on here thought we wouldn't. I'm basically the Simon Cowell of these boards, although some people fail to accept my points because they choose to hide behind hopes and dreams. I gave up on hopes and dreams when I **** myself on hole 9 at close house a few years ago.

Ruling out success? Even if **** happens and we finish 6th without Europa League... that's ****ing success mate.

It will be disappointing if we dont get Europe League but at the end of the day, we were targetting top 10 at the start of the season. Pardew was telling the fans to be wary of "2nd season syndrome". Finishing in the top 6 will be an achievement in itself.

Farfan or Adam Johnson to replace Ba on the left.

Its not I dont think Ba is a very, very good player, I just love this formation and lets be honest Cisse and Ben Arfa are better players than him. He obviously doesn't want to play on the left and neither is that his optimum position.

That is Farfan's position and he is available on a free. Adam Johnson is a Toon fan.

    And a CB.

As for Pieters from when I've seen him play he is not necessarily that great.

Yes its is success I suppose, however I won't lie when I say we won't acheive it again if we keep selling our best players. Just look at Villa these days.
