We talk about the likes of Stoke as anti-football but that today was just as hideous to watch. Struggling to think of a more boring game I've watched in a very long time, at least Barca do something with it FFS. The only thing remotely good about it is how we played them which was absolutely perfect, and Cisse's amazing second goal.

EDIT: maybe I'm being harsh on Swansea because our defensive tactics probably didn't help matters, but they were just as bad when they came up here as well.

Swans just pass the ball around the midfield?

That's what happens when you come up against a incredibly defensive team who have no intent on coming forward! 10 men on the edge of your own box practically the whole game! I would rather watch us Swans play some beautiful football, than watch your side sit deep then send it long! Stoke v2?

Cabaye sent two great balls through to Cisse for the two goals.

So we were different to how Swansea played at Newcastle, expect we had a quality striker to score the goals.

Haha if you think Vorm, Caulker and Williams passing it between themselves for 90 minutes is entertainment then football's not your game. I'd rather see top class players like Ben Arfa, Cabaye and Cisse actually take teams apart with pure brilliance.

Cabaye and Cisse the 2 differences today. Swansea had all the possession but absolutely no penetration. Not great football from their point of view and don't think they'll have had a game when they've had so much pointless possession. From our point of view 2 brilliant balls from Cabaye and 2 great finishes.

think what you want, i would rather watch my side play the way football should be played! you had 66% pass completion! i fail to see any real QUALITY players in your side apart from Tiote and Cisse, Ben Arfa is a one trick pony, no right foot! if you show him down the line he is useless! i rate Ba but he isn't a wide man! which is where he was today! and you know nothing about me so what gives you the right to call me thick? im voicing my opinions! which is what this site is for! unless you cant handle that?

    <laugh> nice try.

You played exactly the same against us at our place but difference is in this game we were just a lot more incisive than you. LOL just because a team doesn't pass in pretty triangles without getting anywhere all match long doesn't mean they're Stoke Mk II. Think we play like that every game, think again, it was obvious we tailored our tactics just for you and it was vindicated in the fact that 1) we won 2-0 and 2) you had no cutting edge whatsoever and half of that 75% possession or whatever it was you had was your defence and midfield passing it to each other and 3) apart from Sigurdsson's long range shooting you had about 2 shots. You had no plan B and your manager was outsmarted.

Seriously though good luck for the rest of the season and I mean that. Would much rather see you doing well than the likes of Stoke, but I'm sure you don't feel the same seeing as you just compared us directly with them.

We came to The Liberty to get three points and got them, job done.
Swansea played their normal game and go nothing.

Swansea and Barca are totally different.

Barca keep possession well but they create so much with their football, and their caliber of passing is orgasmic. Barca go forward, take risks and stuff.

Swansea play 20 passes, get no where, pass it back to their keeper, pass it another 25 times, then knock a lob ball to a winger which rarely works, then try a long shot. And if they do get into the box, they aren't very difficult to hold off.

Valid points but in fairness not once have I seen a Swansea fan favourably compare his team to Barcelona and not be joking.

I remember HBA skinning that Taylor lad several times when he showed him down the right, better than any player you'll ever have.

Yeah I wrote as much just there, was unfair of him to compare your team directly with Barcelona's especially when nobody brought the subject up.

ok Ben Arfa may have gone past Taylor, but he didnt create anything once shown down the right! one instance he ran the ball straight out of play, he has a great left foot, but is too one sided! it does amaze me how some pro footballers cant use thier weaker foot!

Our 2nd goal came from an incisive pass from Ben Arfa wide on the right to Cabaye in the center, and the rest is history.

Why did he start? <erm> I didn't understand Moore or Routledge starting. Also think Britton is the king of pointless possession. It's like he's protecting his %.
