Judging by the contract situations I think Simpson and Guthrie will be off, and I think we will probably lose one maybe two top players. We're getting rid of a lot of youth players too. As long as we can replace all them and get three or four more in I'll be quite happy with that.

Most people have replied with reasonable responses as to why players won't leave, but as this is a normal doom and gloom thread it's no wonder you get these kind of response of "shut the **** up".

Seriously fell, CHEER THE **** UP MAN. Has your mam taken your toys off you or something???

Bet your an EMO kid who hates his mom and dad

While none of us know, my guess would be that Tiote is the only big name sold.

Llambias almost officially put him up for sale in his interview a few weeks agaon, and from one point of view that makes sense.

We would get a good large amount of money for Tiote. Guthrie (who will stay if there's first team football on offer) is a ready made free replacement, with other players such as Vukic and Abeid also pushing for a misfield spot.

Give Carr half of the Tiote money to buy a goold LB and a promising young CB, and the team as a whole is probably stronger. Plus you have money available to buy any other good player as and when he might become available.

I think MA probably does want the team to do well:

    a. to make money and

    b. to show all of us that we don't know what we're talking about.

    However, we'll wait and see.

    Got relegated
Sold our 'best players' (Bassong, Duff, Beye, Martins, Owen)
    Champions
    Sold our 'best player' (Carroll)
    12th
Sold our 'best players' (Nolan, Enrique, Barton)
    Likely 6th

Based on this, if we were to sell Ba, HBA and Colo we'll win the league in 2013! <ok>

Some people just like misery and drama.

Our best season in years and years, clearly the team are enjoying themselves.

    Why so serious?

The only loyalty I expect is from the fans, the club will carry on regardless of my thoughts and opinions, and I shall carry on turning up and supporting the team.
It's out of my control, I may not like decisions being made, but hey ho!

Yep, like he was leaving in the last transfer window. The point there is you were wrong and yet you still claim to be right.

The funny thing is this happened in January and you came out with the same crap then too. It's always the next transfer window with you.

Just chill the **** out with your doom ****. It's the best season for a long time, enjoy it man!

I swear you think that this whole edgy 'ahhhhhh the world is a terrible place' thing you do is some kind of act that we - your adoring fans - would be disappointed if we didn't get regular injections of it.

Ignoring that, your post has no fact or any real point it's just one huge shovel-full of negative bile.

    SHUT THE **** UP.

Well let's face it, not a lot I can do about it, not always happy, but really Mr Tiote just too gloomy, (even though we all know he just does it for effect) he's quite a smiley person really, I can tell. :emoticon-0112-wonde:

I can't see any big club offering a huge wage/fee deal for Ben Arfa because he's not really played that much in the PL yet and is trying to re-establish himself after a massive injury. At least not at the sort of money that would turn heads. Tiote too, I think stays because he's missed a lot of games this year and is probably less on the radar as a marquee signing (selling shirts is part of the deal).

Ba is the one I think most likely to go, but if the release clause bullshit is true then it's out of the club's hands anyway (mostly).

But really look at the club's transfer dealings over the past 24 mos. Yeah, everyone was honking when Carroll was sold - myself included - but in retrospect it was a seriously good piece of business. (Also, in a way he was holding the club back because the team had to be built around him). Nolan has found his own level to be honest and there's no way the club could justify the deal he wanted or match West Ham. Barton I liked (still do to be honest, because he makes me laugh), but he's a loose cannon, so I also totally understand why he was in no position to negotiate better terms. Basically good though Barton can be, he isn't good enough to be as high maintenance as he was. If he'd shut up and just played football he'd probably have gotten a better deal for himself.

The one that was a real loss was Enrique, and he was desperate to get out of the door apparently, so there's not much that could be done about that; it's not really anything to do with how the club operates. After all the club could hardly have signed Messi just to keep him happy, eh?

Point being is that all those were sensible transfer dealings, and none of them were really players that the club bought on the cheap with the intention of selling quickly later on at a profit. So the idea that the club is being run just to horse trade in the transfer market and not care about how it does isn't really justified by what actually went on.

Also, I think you have to think about this from MA's greedy perspective. A top 6-8 club that is profitable is worth far more straight away than the sort of money you can get from selling off players in dribs and drabs when they come good. Given where Newcastle is, the financial incentive is to strengthen the squad right now, not weaken it. There's more money -TV, shirts, market value of the entire club, overseas fans etc. - to be found going forward than making a few million from selling Cabaye.

That said, anything can happen in the transfer market, but I don't think there's going to be some sort of mass clearout of the squad just to make a cynical short term few million.

MA's still a dick for renaming the stadium though. (Even then, modern football eh? It's not like it's ever going to go back to the days of paying Jackie Milburn bonuses in crates of Woodbines).

Enrique was a loss...Carrol may prove to be a good striker in the future...

But Nolan and Barton are pretty average lets be honest. One plays like hes 5 years older than he is and the other one is really overrated and has hardly set the world alight at QPR.

    Basically This.

I must add also that for some reason Barton has been pretty **** for QPR this season.
