An English team playing the best team in the world in the world's biggest cup competition. I'm interested.
oh how I miss that I have fond memories of a game early in our KC life, losing 3-1 to Scunny, think Danny Webb scored
I think they'll be two good games and I'll definitely be watching. Chelsea got screwed a couple of years ago and it will be interesting to see how they fair this time, not as well I imagine.
5-2 to Barca on aggregate. A few mates of mine who are Chelsea fans have said that they have a huge chance because they can concentrate completely on the CL and qualify by winning. Let's be honest, if you're 5 points behind Spurs and you still have to play them, you're hardly going to give up all hope on 4th spot in exchange for giving Barca a run for their money - and still probably losing. I really don't understand the mindset of some fans - one of mates also said that it took them 188(?) minutes to concede against Barca in 2009. How that's relevant I have no idea - we won the playoffs in 2008 but it doesn't mean we will this year.. Plus the fact that Chelsea were actually capable of finishing within 20 points of the PL title that year
chelsea have been appalling this season, but credit where credit's due, they've picked up under the Mighty *****l
It's football at least. It could be alot worse. ITV put alot of ****e on the box. Barca to win this one and i might have cheeky punt on the Jerries to beat Real. I know thye're flying in Spain, but Bayern will be up for this and they don't lose many on there own ground. Plus they'll want to get back there for the final.
The majority of London sports journo's are usually Arsenal or Spurs fans, hence the massively over the top reaction's whenever they win or loose. They also tend to give Spurs/Arse ridiculous title winning capabilities when they clearly aren’t title contenders (we all know they will bottle it). I think everyone really enjoyed the Chelski soap opera as a result and loved watching AVB squirming whilst filling their back pages. They should have really crashed and burned this season but somehow are still in with the champs league, so quite a lot of back peddling going on. Personally I think Barca will hand them arse on a plate, but you never know...
Barca are due a shock defeat, could be in this one, it's about time Torres stepped up to the plate, it could be in these games, and everybody expects Barca to win so Chelsea won't be under as much pressure as you would expect.
I care, got quite a few doubles I'm waiting on that involve them winning it, if they go out a potential 400 quid goes out the window
Yeah I care. I dont understand it when some people can't understand why city fans like other competitions or leagues. I like football not just the team I support.
I worry for Chelsea in this one. I don't think the top two in the Prem match up to La Liga's top two, never mind 5th place Chelsea. The Chelsea of old maybe stood a chance, when they barely conceded goals, but I think they might get cut to ribbons here.
I will watch because it's the champions league and a English club. Chelsea have next to no chance if they play like last night. Lakou and Torres last night could have played for a week and not converted a chance.
I said a few weeks back Chelsea would win it and Terry and Lampard would score on the final. I think I'd been drinking at the time. Might be a worth a crafty tenner. Wonder what odds I'd have got before hand?
