What sort of team/squad are we hoping for next season then?

I'm very happy with the football we've been play recently for more than one reason.

    1. Because I ****ing hate hoofball, even though it has basically got us through the last couple of seasons, I was sick of playing two biguns up front and lumping balls to them and expecting goals.

    2. Because I was afraid we'd try passing, technical football, and we'd look like a nice, passing team, but we wouldn't be able to score goals with it or do it well enough for it to be effective. With the additions of Ben Arfa and Cisse, and the 4-3-3 formation, we seem to be more comfortable and able to play this style in a way that gets goals.

We will need a big squad for our ambitions.

I'd love to see this squad next season -

    Ba-------Cisse-------HBA

    -Cabaye--Tiote--Jonas-

    Pieters-Colo-Douglas-Santon

    ----------Krul-----------

    Subs -

    New goalkeeper
    Saylor
    Simpson
    Guthrie
    Hoilett
    Shola
    Marveaux

I'd swap Jonas to RCM. Jonas would be better on the right because if he does get into a crossing position, he'll be on his stronger foot. Plus it would be good to have Jonas around Santon while he develops further.

I would love to have Hoilett because I think he'd fit perfectly into our 4-3-3 system. He's very quick, probably quicker than any player we have, and he's great cutting in from that left wing and shooting, and he's skillful enough to fit into our system. He would work well in a game where we would perhaps need to attacking, quick wingers, instead of Ba on the wing.

Or If Ba or Cisse, heaven forbid, get injured, a 4-3-3 system with two attacking mids and one striker would work just as well. PLUS - We would also have a cracking right winger with a left foot to cover HBA in Marveaux. So we'll have left footed, and right footed selections.

I love Saylor and I personally couldn't choose who to start, but the reason why I'd love to see Douglas on the team sheet ahead of him, is because it would excite me that we may have an even better CB than Saylor to partner Colo.

I think we should go for a new keeper also. I'd feel too nervous relying on Elliot. Harper looks like he's gonna head off to play first team football to end his career. Forster has ****ed off to Celtic, and even if he hadn't I wouldn't want him. He's SPL standard at best.

We could use a better back up keeper.

Of course this line up is only for certain games. I've said many times that we'll need to rotate a lot. I just think that team looks beast.

The football we've been playing recently has been great. We've got 3 players that can score; one that can dribble, on that can finish and one that creates space and links the two well. Throw Cabaye getting forward and Tiote + another... I'm starting to blabber! I'm just so excited about them!

If we got another quality attacking player, like Hoilett, a CM (and a replacement for Guthrie if he goes) a CB and a LB then I don't see why we couldn't challenge for the top 4.

That would be good, just can't see it happening though.

I think we could knock on the door for a top 4 place but I don't see us doing it really. But then again, if we had Saylor for this full season, or even for a few extra games, i reckon we'd be 4th at least.

We've done well, but we would have done better with Saylor in the team.

    Sorry ACS.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Albert's Chip Shop again.

Let him be unhappy. If he's only here for himself then he can leave IMO

Switch Saylor and Douglas in your XI. Saylor is a better player and a bit of a leader on the pitch
