Has anyone noticed since Demba Cisse's arrival Demba Ba has stopped scoring goals??

Its like cisse is making up for ba

    What do you think?

    Cisse has i think 6 in 6

what was Ba's goals before cisses arrival?

and how many has he scored since cisses arrival

Plus side is at least one is scoring lol....also i dont mind demba ba slowing down atm...it may deter him getting snatched in the summer ;)

He is now playing more of a right wing role and so is less inclined to be in and around his goal scoring area as Cisse is already there. Make no mistake I still have every confidence in Ba to score chances at will when they present themselves but he has for the moment turned into more of the provider role.

Cisse has scored 7 in 7.

Ba has been unlucky, he's almost scored 3 times since Cisse came back.

Ba is still doing a cracking job, and is playing out of position.

Cisse has come and Ben Arfa is finding form and scoring. The load used to be all on Ba's back, now the stress is released on him.

We no longer need Ba to score 20+ goals a season.

Ba has scored 16 goals, which is already more than his seasons work done already, and he's still performing very well. He's been unlucky not to score. He just missed the ball before Cisse scored the first vs WBA. He played a really clever move vs Norwich and his touch forced a great save from Ruddy.

He's also played a part in a lot of Cisse's goals. Ba's presence has still been vital.

Since Cisse's arrival, Ba has been playing in a more withdrawn role. meaning he's not getting half the chances that usually fall for him. That said, he has been unlucky in some games. Norwich especially where a great save stopped a certain goal

    I think everyone's noticed.

Ba is no longer the spearhead of the attack, he has been playing slightly deeper and to the left symmetrical to Ben Arfa's role. He's still been playing very well the last couple of games although he seemed lacklustre when he came back from ACoN. Ba had scored 16 in the league before Cisse arrived. I'm not worried about his drought though, he's been doing a great job for the team.

Not totally sure but I think it's actually 7 in 7 Cisse's got.

Ba's lack of goals is a lot like when Leon Best stopped scoring often.

When Leon Best is relied upon for goals, he will score, when he isn't, he wont score as often, but still play a part in the game and get assists.

Ba is far better than Best, but it is a similar thing.

He draws a lot of defenders towards him, which makes a lot of space for other players (Arfa, Cisse)

When he returns to play in the centre role, which Pardew has stated, he will score goals again... IMO he makes a better number 10, than a 9
