Another bizarre day in the life and times of PNE, manager blames players for letting Wednesday players know what our side and tactics would be last night.
Tactics were easy to work out defend in depth and that was it.
Whether it's a ruse by the manager to deflect attention from himself onto the players. He will have to name the 4 individuals otherwise it will be seen as more bulls**t from the wide boy.
Club is plunging the depths at the moment can it get any worse, yep relegation and it's on the cards.
SHAMBLES IT IS

 

What gets me is how come the PNE fans turn on the managers. How many managers have you had in the last 5 years & still there are problems on the pitch. Until Westley gets rid of the deadwood that has been at Preston before him & Brown arrived then this will continue. I hope Westley does the right thing & start a fresh with his own squad & get rid of players from previous managers apart from Mellor & Hulme. Otherwise the results will continue. For Preston to be a club like they once was they need a complete new squad for Westley to build on otherwise Westley will be on the list of departed managers from Deepdale. The fans also need to get behind the team & stop whinging at every little thing Westley & the players do. IMO don't think it is all down to Westley think the players need to get a grip as well & for the board to back Westley with more signings. I think the problems don't just stem from the managers & this needs rectifying as soon as possible if Preston are to achieve getting back into the championship. Our manager would not have stood for this nonsense on & off the pitch I hope Westley does the same once the season ends.

 

Morning Curtis apparently there was a bust up in the dressing room afterwards and four players had too make their own way home from Sheffield. I know what you are saying about Westley but the standard of football is dire at best and too my view we won't win another point this season. They've also been told 21 players will be leaving, if the players know they won't be at the club they won't be arsed and it's showing

 

Informed source says there is nothing in the story, the Football League have promised an inquiry if there has been wrong doing however if no inquiry then read of it what you will.

You know maclad, the sad thing here is that in the week Preston North End will be celebrating the 90th birthday of their greatest player and arguably one of the greatest of all time, this tacky little row will rumble on in the background like a distant thunderstorm.

Very sad indeed.

 

Afternoon Tewks yep the great man is 90 and we've a celebration against MK Franchise, it may be good if the team and management be as one on Saturday cheap tickets should mean a decent gate but what will they get to watch

 

themaclad. I hope Jim does not bother looking into signing any of these who can't be arsed as I can't see them lasting that long if they don't pull their weight at the Globe. Sorry they get paid enough & it seems certain individual journeymen have been taking the club for granted. I hope that when they are transfer listed that other clubs don't touch them with a barge pole. I am not a Preston fan but you only have to see from Ferguson, Brown & Westley that certain players have not changed in the time these managers have been at the club. I do think that Westley does need to get rid of the deadwood quick. Hopefully then Preston can move on & he can have players who want to play for him. If they are doing it because they can't be arsed let's hope clubs don't go near them when they want another pay day. It would not surprise me that he gets a couple from his old club to inject some postivity into the club which he had at Stevenage.

Some seem to think on Shrimpsvoices that Lawrence Wilson may be one who could end up at Preston at the end of the season as he is out of contract if he does then you have a good footballer who puts nearly 100% in every match not the crap certain players are dishing you out now.

 

Apparently it was all accidental the Football League taking no action, thing about players GW has done a lot of the stuff in public which hasn't helped either. Wilson's the long haired lad isn't he?

 

He plays left back. He can also play in midfield when needed. Has plenty of pace & sometimes gets his share of yellow cards but not scared of getting stuck in. Good at pens & scored a few for us. If you do come in for him you are sure he will give 100% not like you have now. Jim Bentley has today released Jevons because he didn't perform to his expectations. Jim won't stand for any nonsence & am sure Westley will be cracking the whip soon as the season finishes. Westley is a great manager but he has not been given time by many PNE fans who want instant success on a plate. He needs to build his own squad to his accord which he has not been given much time to do when he took over. Shame though that some of the journeymen you have now don't perform on the pitch because it will be their fate when they want another club to sign them. The only service they are doing to themselves is not putting themselves in the shop window for another club at the end of the season.

All quiet on the Preston front, well not quite, the Marx Brothers didn't take training today Alexander took the honours also Parry was accused of being in the gang of four, he denied this and demanded an apology which was not forthcoming. All of this of course is hearsay and and connection with the truth is only guessable

The best thing Westley can do is kick Parry & the rest of the "I'm too big for this club brigade" out of the club. Let's see how cocky they are when clubs won't touch them with a barge pole because of their ego. The fans though need to get behind the manager and give him time to build his own squad which he has not yet been able to do fully. It seems the moaners always have alot to say on the LEP online page. Why they always have to blame every manager who comes to Deepdale is beyond thinking. Whoever takes charge at Deepdale will have a fresh appoach which players won't like. It is down to the manager to clear the trash out & get players who wants to play for him and the club which he has not got. The problem with some of the moaners on the LEP page they want instant success under a manager who clearly has not been given time. If Westley left, the problems are still there. The cracks have been there before Westley arrived & they will continue unless some of the moaners bugger off & support Man City or get behind their beloved team & manager & give him time to do it his way. A few Morecambe fans have said the same on Shrimpsvoices that a small minority of PNE fans want a manager with instant success when it rarely happens unless you have the proper backing like Atkins has had at Southampton.

If you go on against Swindon at the Globe it kicks off at 3pm on Good Friday.
