Different owners etc but Bobby Robson finished 6th, then got fired after 4 games of the next season after 2 draws and 2 defeats. I didnt mean top 10 after 10 games, but what if you are 17th after 10 games with 7-10 points. Not saying it will happen, but you cant say it definitely wont happen, football is a funny old game after all. I just think it may be worth a daft fiver (not that i bet but i will kick myself if it happens)
wow mate with words like that you command respect, what a speaker if you run for parliament you have my vote. well done
I suggest you read your own lads remarks, as you are mistaken 5-1 the **** already stated the fact, and he is as you say a ****
Already cleared it up but thanks for reading and irrationally commenting for no apparent reason there Rog
strange how every so often a newbie arrives, stranger still when you look and see 2 newbies join on the same day with the same IP address, one posts and his first post is often a controversial one, the other newbie, with the same address, waits in the wings, ready to pounce. But like commo says, I wonder who, maybe nothing in it but, very strange.
Not if they buy the ****e they did last summer and the winter before - If Dalglish is still there then they'll be luck=y to finish top half - go on Kenny - take them down (PLEASE!!) Have to agree - that screams WUM from a mile away!! Although he's right if he's talking about current managers
Fcking hell DO NOT predict anything it always comes back to bite you. In reality we just don't know what will happen in the future. Things can change so quickly in the game , look at us under the obese geordie idiot to what we are under o'neill, newcastle have had champions league football followed by relegation followed by a top 6 place who could have predicted that. Personally, I am glad to see Pardew claiming ben arfa is as good as messi ( as I now know the bloke is insane) and Tiote claiming they will finish in the top 4 hopefully that will mean a sudden loss of form. The point been please do not predict. There are thousands of betting shops in this country who make billions of pounds due to the fact that the majority of predictions made by people are totally wrong.
Welcome. Great first post, you'll fit in well. My only advice on your wummery is that instead of talking about our extra quality giving us the edge, you should have gone down the "luck" route. This has proved very popular this season, as has the phrase "their bubble is about to pop". Otherwise a good start.
Congrats on avoiding saying "FACT!" in your OP pronouncements on the future. I really hate that. As for where us and the mags will be going, who knows? But with MON at the helm I am totally relaxed about whose hands our club is in. With NUFC, you're never quite sure what Fat Mike will do, but if he's finally learned to leave well alone, they should be doing pretty good as long as they can keep other teams' hands off Ben Arfa, Krul and Tiote.
I expect us to be 5th-6th next season with you 7th-9th if that answers your question. You will almost certainly improve on this season but I can't see us going backwards from here. Although I can't see you breakin into the top 6 next year with the good management you have atm you won't be far away
Those words are the touch of a man who cannot wait to finish his sentance. I guess twonker is a bit of a plonker who is feeling such great relief that Newcastle have finally managed to rise above Sunderland for the first time in 4 years! Such is the truncated nature of his sentance, it is clear to see he is already concerned for next season and rightly so.
