Forgetting the two massive events.....the handball and sending off....

The mags battered them, and they probably would have won, if it was reversed, and they only had 10 against the scouse 11.

You mackems really are a bitter lot. Newcastle fans come here to say well done at city and you have like 4 threads up about the toon. What is up? No one could see the handball, not even the liverpool players. Liverpool started with 10 men. Carroll would have scored an own goal if LFC had gone ahead. He just didn't want to score against us. As for Tiote and Perch, what man-mountains! We had one championship centre half and two championship right backs on the pitch and still played liverpool off the park. Food for thought. You can't be looking forward to the derby next season. I have a feeling our home game will be very early on, maybe even the opening fixture.

Do you have trouble reading mate, try again and you may find that every comment is supporting your team and saying how well you have done. It does you no good to tar us all the same without reading what's said.

Hi Bill I was thinking of a similar thread myself, the Mags are bottom of the fairplay league i.e. they kick more than anyone else and also it seems there training sessions involve drama classes as well. These drama classes are of long standing as I recall a certain CB, who had had his jaw broken by a team member, falling over in the pen area as if shot from a gun a few season ago. Now we have had in a short time the hardest and ugliest man in football showing a delayed reaction clutching his face to get the smallest man on the pitch sent off, then yesterday with no contact, the acting classes paying off for another cheating unpleasant person getting a fellow professional sent off. Unfortunately one of their ex-players obviously has not been keeping up the drama classes at his new club cos' his cheating dive was too obvious.

I suppose the rest of the league will soon realise what nasty cheating players they are plus the refs of course! It is a pity cos' they have 2 or 3 decent players up front that I hope do not become infected with the skunk disease.

Travelsick. Don't tar most of the posters on here for the very small minority who are (much like the minority of ours) very odd and bitter! Syd and Commie have been complimentary about us <ok>

Here is a little challenge for billofengland, why dont you go through all Newcastles results this season and actually work out how many times Newcastle won against ten men, how many times against eleven, and also which team (at home) failed to beat the ten men of Newcastle for a bonus mark.

I don't think even the most ardent Sunderland supporter could begrudge Newcastle their success this season, they've played some great football and showed excellent team spirit. I'd definitely rather we were battling it out with them in the top half of the table, rather than both struggling against relegation.

Equally, I don't think any reasonable Mag could deny the impact Martin O'Neill has made for Sunderland this season.

As for Travelsick07- I definitely am looking forward to the derby games next season. The red card changed the game in the recent fixture, but who knows what could've happened if it had remained 11v11 with us 1-0 ahead? You can almost guarantee that Sunderland won't roll over like last season. All in all, it's been a great year for both NE teams, and it could well be even better next season!

Typical bloody mags. Can't even suffer through second season syndrome like a proper football team!

Don't they know how things are done?

Can we win against 11 men? Yes, we've done it a fair amount this season.
