What was wrong with Hooiveld yesterday ?

He was at fault for 2 of the goals.

    I wasn't there but saw the reply's.

Would be interesting to hear from someone that was there.

To be fair, it was impossible for him and fonte seeing that our full backs were getting beaten on every attack.

Shouldn't try and blame one player...we were outplayed and desperation spread throughout the team. A repeat of the Blackpool game at SMS...except we had Lambert.

Jos has been superb for a large majority of the time since we signed him. He wasn't great yesterday but who was? Time to move on.

Not trying to blame one player. Agreed performance was poor all round but he was at fault
for leaving his man for the 3rd goal. And missed the header for the flick on for the second.

To be fair if Martin or Seaborne had done the same ?

Just wondered what peoples take was who were there ?

    Not a finger pointing exercise.

Adkins won't throw the baby out with the bathwater. Jos is first choice CB...one poor game will not change that.

If Martin had performed like that, he would have been slated, slated and slated

It does seem that way which can't do a players confidence much good.
I was hoping Martin was brought on after the 3rd goal yesterday and given some game time.

Martin hasn't featured for weeks and yesterday was a good chance to do this.

Tbh I think having the flu dueing the week affected him. He seemed a second or two behind play the whole game. I have never seen him play that poor before, but as said before that's move on.

If he had played in as many games in a row as Hoov and as well then he wouldn't get moaned at, just like Hoov.
But he's not as good as the Hoov yet.
    Simples really.

Didn't think we were all that bad against Blackpool at SMS. Bart just had a very bad day at the office!

And if either of the two golden chances went in what would we be saying now?

We lost an away game and did look rather flat.

No need for any building them up for the next one and I truly believe that Pompey will be put to the sword as a result of the backlash.

Hoovield made 2 INDIVIDUAL ERRORS. NOTHING to do with the full backs. 100% his fault. He also missed a sitter.

It could have been 1-1 if he had done the basics. He had a nightmare and it's the worst individual performance by a player the entire season, an absolute and utter shocker for Hoovield

Still think he shouldn't have played. Him having the flu during the week made him a few seconds off the pace of the game, and made his judgement slightly off.

I wonder Why he did play then if he wasn't 100% fit. As a player you know if you are 100% or no.
If not let Martin fill in. Didn't do the team any favours by playing when below par and did cost us 2 goals.

At this stage of the game and the important run in players need to be honest and put their hand up
and say to Adkins " Not 100% fit " Play someone else.

You are way too harsh <ok> Try playing centre back when your full backs get beaten everytime.

Yh Hoiveld missed his header for the second but has Jose never heard of covering that was just as poor defending from him why does Jos need to be singled out he wasnt great but look at our fullbacks they got skined the whole game lets face it NO ONE played well only Guly Lallana and Kelv were almost at par but all of them still made mistakes.
