With the kick off of the greatest sporting event just a few days away I thought I would give the other intrepid players a few pointers. Player ratings / form - Each player get a skill rating out of 12 and a form rating (Out of 20 I think). The form changes from game to game but the skill only changes at the end of the season. If a player is in good form (greater than 10) at the end of the season (and if he has played more than 3 games) the start of the next season his skill values will increase, if he is in poor form his skill will decrease. The form is shown on the team selection page and the changes in form highlighted by the arrow alongside the form bar. If a player is dropping in form you could consider using some econs to "train" the player. In the game the training is only used to increase a players form. Obviously when selecting you team you need to take into account both skill and form. Transfer Market - The transfer market on the game is quite simple, but the initial values displayed on the player may be incorrect (the player's agent may be economical with the truth). You can choose to "evaluate" the player before making an offer but this will cost you extra econs. Money (Econs) - There is only one regular to get cash and that is using the sponsers activity, which are available each week. Other financial events do occur but at a random so don't rely on them. Youth Academy - Each team has a youth academy and players will be offered to you throughout the season. You can put extra money into the academy to increase the standard of youth players coming through. You have a maximum squad size or 20 players and won't be offer any kids unless there is space in the squad. That covers the basics, enjoy playing the game and don't forget to use the press releases to gloat over crushed oppenants or show off you new star player!
Sorry fella once the season has started there is no way of entering another team. But I'll let you know when the next intake happens or if someone drops out and you can take over from them
The male / female leagues rules does seem a little stupid these day. But I'll add you the potential players list along with Gillsmad for the next intake and/or replacement list.
