Aye Gambol we had one of them when I was kid. Good memories of watching the fake lunar landings in black and white with Michael Burke.

Then I saw Capricorn One and all became clear.

Me, me, me! I don't even want to watch a movie in HD as it spoils the escapism of it. The only thing HD is good for is sport.

One of my earliest memories was when we got our first colour telly. My da set it up and the first thing we saw was a Tom & Jerry cartoon.

Strangely enough my favourite films are from the 40s and early 50s, all black and white. Film noir especially.

    Kids today have no idea.

Not quite film noir but ye gotta love movies like "Key Largo", "Double Indemnity", "White Heat", "Angels With Dirty Faces" and all them. Excellent entertainment on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

Whit was the one where they were in a lighthouse? A kinda comedy horror where they all get bumped off one by one. Think that was a Will Hay movie.

    If that's a Will Hay film, I don't think I've seen it.

I only just realised recently that the old guy in all the films was really a posh middle-aged guy in make-up<yikes>

You are correct, I watch nothing before 1990 unless it has Arny, Stallone or Clint in.
