Both are said to be potential top draw midfielders and both are internationals at such a young age. Wilshere has come through a little earlier but I think this was probably down to Ramsey's serious injury which left him side lined for a long while. I like them both and they have their individual strengths but difficult for me to say who will be better in 2 years.

    What do fellow gooners think?

There two different players, but having both of them, especially in a few years will be exciting!

Wilshere with the skills, dribbling and aggression and ramsey with the strength, directness, shooting, and both with the ability, passing and desire and grit!
Add to that an older experienced, improved Nasri, Walcott etc etc!

Both outstanding players already and likely to get better <ok> Wilshere is probably the most exciting English talent since Paul Gascoigne. Ramsey is more like a Paul Scholes type of player, albeit with more skill ;) Good future for these two players and Arsenal will reap the benefits.

I though Jack Wilshire was meant to be the next Paul Scholes according to Wenger? Although to be fair I've heard at least 20 players from around the world called "the next Paul Scholes" over the last couple of years...

Your right, Wilshere is more of a scholes type player, although i think that's just because he's small, english can pass and can't tackle

Ramsey is more like gerrard, storms forward, great shot, abit of a leader etc

Hopefully in a few years we'll have a midfield of basically, Scholes at his peak, Gerrard at his peak, and Fabregas at his!
now tell me that's not ****in' frightnin!

I think Wilshere is a more creative player than Scholes and I'd compare him more to a Gazza type of player. Ramsey I think will be more like a Scholes type of player - Good as a creative DM

That's interesting, given that Wilshire is currently playing that creative DM role. If he plays in a more advanced role, how will you fit him and Fabregas in the same team? And you realise Scholesy has only played that role since about 2008 - before that he was an attacking playmaker supported by a DM.

I think the scholes Wilshere comparison come from before wilshere moved back into the DM and just because hes english and can't tackle.
and i think both wilshere and fabregas are smart enough to know when to drop back and let the other attack, an when to go forward so aslong as theres a just defensive player with them they'll be fine
