    Adam Johnson is Sunderland Football Club’s top summer want.

    The 24-year-old has been at Manchester City since February 2010, but he has been unable to cement a regular place in their starting eleven.

    Although Johnson has featured in 22 of the Blues 30 Premier League matches this season, 12 of these have come when called off the substitute bench.
    Martin O’Neill is prepared to offer around £12million for the winger, who was born in Sunderland and grew up as a Black Cats supporter.

    Hell of a player but is left midfield our priority. If we only have a finite amount of money think it would be spent better on other areas. Strikers or a lack of them is what has really hurt us this season.
