It seems to me that sometime over the years, no matter who we are playing, how important the game is, how good our playesr are or even who is in charge we just don't seem to turn up. Why didn't the O'neill effect work tonight? What is it with Sunderland? Is it something in the water? It always seems to happen. Still though, gotta keep the faith!!!

No idea why bit it's happened many times in my time, either we don't turn up or we have a nastly slice of **** luck, both came along tonight as the OG was just a freak

Because, contrary to what some mackems genuinely seem to think, MoN isn't an invincible god.

Anyway, I don't see what the big deal is. You guys did turn up, but you just got beat by the better side on the day. If it wasn't for the OG it would have been 0-1, which is only a narrow defeat to a very good side in top-form. Hardly a thrashing or even a comfortable defeat.

It happens. Gave it a good shot. Time to move onwards.

Cracking entertainment tonight. Really enjoyed it. On Sunday we hit three against the side that beat you 4-0, and tonight we watch another cracker. That OG was special.

Now move on and all the best!
