I finally managed to get 2 tickets for the Liverpool game and took my Mate who is a massive Liverpool fan. After spending only 15 minutes at the bar i the Ellerslie Rd stand he said "this is a proper club with a real sense of family". His view did not change after the game and even said its one of the best grounds he has ever been too ( which is many as he was an ex pro). This may sound daft but it reminded me that despite what we have been through, this club never leaves you and can fully understand why Amit is also in love with QPR. If we go down I will be gutted but I said to my son at the start of the season lets just enjoy the ride.
QPR always did and still does remind me of one of those great old pubs you sometimes stumble across in a side street; not grand, or showy, in need of a lick of paint maybe but once you get inside you ask yourself, why haven't I been here before? That special authentic something that can't be built or bought is there,( and I'm not talking about the bogs!) and that is why great care should be taken in deciding where to go in terms of rebuilding or relocation.
Yepp! Maybe we will need to pick up the whole stadium and put it down again on the new site, dropping the bogs on stamford bridge along the way, then expand it to a decent size!
