Was looking on the pompey website to see how many tickets they had sold for the derby - as rumour had it they hadn't sold out - which is true, but there is only 100 tickets left.

But, what struck me was that they don't use their own travel (Lucketts is their choice) unlike us. When we went to their place, we had to purchase travel along with the match tickets, but http://www.portsmouthfc.co.uk/LatestNews/news/Important-Southampton-Travel-Info-3222.aspx as the link shows, there is still 1000 fans who haven't yet bought their place on the coach.

Seems ridiculous not to have to buy both at the same time like we did - as if they don't they can't get to the game.

Also, I thought it may have been a given, but it doesn't seem as though the game is on TV, can anyone shed any light on this?

I had a quick scan through the above list of prohibited items and initially I misread the word, "aerosols".

For a moment there I thought none of the Pompey fans would be allowed in <whistle>

I suppose flares would be considered smoke canisters?

Imagine the atmosphere we could have created!

Either that or they'd be considered "Flares"....

I guess they don't have the funds/credit to engage the coach company directly, hence the fans having to pay them instead.

Especially for Asthmatics! Sorry no place for flares, fireworks or smoke canisters in football, should be totally banned in all arenas in my opinion.
