yeah lewis had a terrible car in 09 and still got some good results. today was a strange race for him.he was fastest in the wet, then after the restart just didnt have the pace he needed. lewis hasnt all of a sudden become slow,so it must be something to do with the setup. anyway well done alonso and perez,i do think he should have won,but it was still a great performance.
For all the criticism that Hamilton is getting for being 'slow', in terms of what he was like in 2011, he has still got two 3rd places whereas in 2011 you; dexpect him to get frustrated, overdrive and end up even further down. He hasn't done that. IMO he has got his head together and is bagging points, or be it not as many as he would like, and is not letting his frustrations get the better of him when he thinks the car should be faster in the races than it is. Jenson seemed to have a 2011 Hamilton mindset today. Made a rash move on the HRT when he only had to wait half a lap to overtake him safely, then burnt out his tyres trying to make up time and finished out of the points. Imagine the **** that would be flying if Button was 3rd and Hamilton out of the points!?
Indeed. He just called Narain an idiot on the BBC. I'm not surprised, Vettel has a history ungracious, petty behaviour from before he started getting it all his own way.
Great win for Fernando, didn't see that one coming at all! Goes to show always keep the faith in your team! As for the HRT, my feeling during the race was that they were mobile chicanes, can understand Vettels anger, and didn't Button get crocked by one of them too? Not safe in changeable conditions to have these snails tootling about, sorry that's my opinion.
looked to me as if the HRT held its line after the corner, and vettel just moved across in front of it. not that he could see, but more vettel's fault that karthikeyan's IMO
And the only reason Alonso won is that they told Sauber to stop Perez. Perez to get his reward ferrari drive in mid season?
Can completely understand Vettels anger and anybody else angry with them and for me they are a danger
I dont think they did. He genuinely looked really happy and if he got cost the win, he most likely wouldve been slightly more grumpy. A bit more experience and i say he'll win most wet races, he is the next something special.
Hamilton seemed the one keeping his head today, good to see. Absolutely brilliant drives from Alonso and perez
Button would have ruined his race at some point anyway. **** pace and fast wear. Not to mention the fact the crash was his fault.
Button admitted his mistake in hitting Narain, so not eveything wrong on the circuit is HRT's fault lol. Well I've looked at Seb's video on the BBC and he looks ****ed off, most ever I think. His eyes seem to avoid contact a lot, so it's possible he made a gut instinct to go for Narain in the corner rather than take it easier and just use the straight to get in front but lose time on Lewis. He looks a bit worried already, possibly knowing this might already cost him the WDC and that he was told by Horner to get solid points which he was doing until passing Narain. Narain's body language just looks like he didnt really feel he did anything wrong so I'll take his word that he was avoiding marbles. His eyesite was more likely focused on the track in front rather than his mirrors.
