"Don't sack me! I've got you a great kit deal!" (Queen Kenny)

So when did Swansea win the EPL title? Or Wolves? Or WBA? Or Newcastle? Or Manchester City?

Are you the full ticket, pal?

    <doh>
We've been better than you for almost three successive seasons, now. Yes, that's how long you have been in our shadow. And what with our new stadium project about to kick off within the next 12 months, and us going in for managers such as Mourhino, and with the fantastic squad that we've got, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out that you'll be in our shadow for a very, very long time.

    <doh>
Even you must know how twattish you sound!

Queen Kenny was a better-than-average footballer - never world class. But as a manager, on the verge of drawing his pension, he is hopeless. I don't know of one Mouser who genuinely believes that paying £35 million for donkey Carroll was a shrewd move. Kenny has screwed your club right up, pal. Benitez was a clown, but at least his signings had some degree of class. Kenny is completely clueless, and is on the verge of ruining your club. Mark my words.

The Mousers are an average side full of over priced Donkeys and Cart Horses, take away the extra 12 points they gain every season through blatant refereeing favouritism and you will see their true level.

  4. Okay, but you get my point, nonetheless.

Given nobody broadcast in black and white since the late 60s, do you want to pretend two UEFA Cups, four FA Cups, and four League Cups are considered as "no cups"?

Seriously, you just got your ass kicked by Wikipedia...

I like Lucas and I think that Liverpool are a far better side with him in it, but Parker's considerably better than him and a fully-fit Sandro's better than him, too and likely to take his place in the national side.
Livermore's not far from his level now and he's better than Lucas was at the same age, though that's probably a little harsh on the Brazilian as Benitez misused him at the time.
He's a good player, but he's pretty basic, which is part of why he's more effective now.

As for Gerrard being more effective than Modric in the centre of the park, don't be silly.
I seem to remember him bottling it and slinking off during the same game that you claim Parker was schooled by the Netherlands in, WI.

  9. You've given it the slap-head symbol, but what Cockerel Barfly says is true, though, isn't it?

Seriously, do you have a mental defect that makes your spout ill-informed statements like this, or are you just ignorant?

Can one of you lot try and make an argument that doesn't get kicked into the long grass by anyone capable of conducting the simplest Wikipedia search?

You were doing so well, right up to "but". Sandro isn't better than Lucas, Parker isn't better than Lucas and Livermore is better at the same age? That's hilarious.

Jake Livermore is 22 and has been battling to get into sides on loan like Leeds at the age of 22 Lucas was the youngest player ever to win the "Balon de Ouro" or Golden Ball to me and you and he was and still is the first choice holding midfielder for the Brazilian national side. Livermore is better? Yeah of course he is.

Gerrard is more effective than Modric in the center of the park simply because he can do more. There's no doubt in my mind that further up the field other than goals Modric has him for everything, pace, vision, skill all the things you want from a number 10 which is basically what Modric is other than the fact he can also play wide as well due to his ridiculous talent. Horses for courses and Gerrard is the engine and the battler that you would want in your central midfield. Of course I'd take Modric 10 times out of 10 for someone to play in that trequartarista role though because he's so much more suited to it.

Gerrard didn't bottle it and slink off he was injured. If he had any sense at all he'd tell England to **** off anyway for that slap in the face handed out by Pearce. Parker over Gerrard as England captain, what a joke.

Don't get me wrong I've got time for Parker but come on.

  13. That's why you got hammered at home by Wigan, and could well be languishing in 9th spot, after your next league game <doh>

Yeah. The way he backed up, and tried to shrug off Suarez's behaviour - that was really classy! <doh>

    "The players were tired."

Oh, tired, were they, Kenny? Been tired all season, have they, pal?

Lucas was utter ****e in the Premier League at 22, WrongIslander.
He may have won the Bola de Ouro, which is Brazil's national league's Footballer of the Year award, but Thiago Neves won it the following season and Rogerio Ceni succeeded him.
Neither has attracted enough interest to play outside of their country or pick up a regular place in their national side.
Not necessarily a mark of quality, is it?

As for Lucas being Brazil's current first choice holding midfielder, that's impossible to tell as he's been injured for months.
We do know who the last one to start for them was, though: Sandro.
That's despite losing his starting place at Spurs and being injured for most of this season.

Modric is a number 10? He's a trequartista? No, he isn't. Van der Vaart's the closest thing that we have to one.
Modric is a central midfield playmaker, playing a far deeper role than you appear to think that he does.

As I said, I like Lucas and he's a massive loss to you, but mainly because you don't have suitable back-up for him.
He's improved enormously since your fellow Scousers wanted him out and hated him, but he's still some way from being at the top of his game.
If Gerrard wants the England captaincy, then perhaps he shouldn't assault people in bars?
Playing well enough to ensure that he's picked might help, too.
