When Saturday Comes.

When Saturday comes it tends to put a spring in the step and make you think about football and going to the game.

At least that's how it used to be. Now with all the big boys ( The old fuddy duddies at the FA, the TV people, the Club Chairmen ) trying to get a quick buck out of the game, we have to go on any old day of the week.

No consideration is given to fans having to take time off work to attend games or how difficult it'll be for them to get to games with early KO's or indeed to get home after late KO's. If only they would get together and work out a schedule before the season started it would make life so much easier for the fans.

But hey, who are we other than the pawns in the game? Are we worth any consideration?

Obviously the afore mentioned people don't think so.

I guess it'll be another Saturday getting dragged around the shops by the missus for some.

Eight Saturday matches today though! Six 3 o clock kos is almost unheard of nowadays

 

On the plus side though I can watch more than one game a weekend, including going to see some non league if Newcastle aren't at home. I honestly don't mind bar the late switching of away games for tv.
