Does it really matter? Brazil have played football in yellow and blue for decades when their flag is mostly green, Germany have played in white for decades (and green sometimes) even though their flag contains neither of those colours and Holland play in orange for some reason. I know it's slightly different for the olympics but still, if this is our biggest problem, things really aren't all that bad.
Holland is part of the Nederlands and i think Orange is part of their national colour - as for lookers , our fem' cyclists are usually alright
god that's crap and since when to minor clothes designers get the right to change our national colours?
Love it or hate it, you can hardly call Stella McCartney a minor clothes designer, she's about the biggest name in world fashion nowadays.
175000 items..... 550 competitors, why thats 318 items on average each!......Oh I forgot about the condoms with logo's on, silly me.
fair point. I'm not really au fait with the fashion world. ok "since when has ANY clothes designer got the right to change our national colours"?
I'm looking forward to the Olympics as usual, atleast i'll be able to watch it at reasonable times unlike the middle of night games Bejiing had.
Kit looks ****e without the red , though when the Olympics are on il be camping in the lake district for a couple of weeks with out a tv . Not interested in the Olympic games one bit .
Unless you're sitting on a horse, on top of the toilets by the 'King Billy', in which case you're gold.....
I think Jessica Ennis and the female Beach Volleyball players look quite good in their kit As for football why is it even in the olympics ?
Yes, it's the changing the colours of the flag that is used to make our team colours that is the problem. If other teams don't have their flags featured on their kit then the fact the kit isn't in the colours of their flag is irrelevent to the discussion. That shirt is actually ****, though that would be the case if it were the 3 lions badge they'd made into a mid 90's website background wall paper pattern so I'm not sure if my answer is relevent to the question you asked.
That's only possible if we have a life to start with. Personally I don't care, I just think they look crap. And for all the people saying Ennis etc look good in them, think how much better they'd look if they weren't wearing them.
Says in the article that 2 years was spent developing this, are you kidding me 2 years working on one shirt! Seems like a long time to come up with a shirt to run around in to me who the hell was paying em for 2 years to come up with an olympic design shirt!
