We used to have a thread on both our sites for banter between our two sets of fans â see the Bluebirds still have it, but we seem to have mislaid ours â can it be put back please so that the children on both our sites have somewhere to play. That way the rest of us can just ignore it and talk about football! And please can fans of both sides stop hijacking threads that try to start decent debates/discussions. We know who the offenders are (from both sides), and hopefully, if there is a special place where they can all play, the adults can get back to talking about football without worrying about them. Now the children may say I am being a killjoy; but I have nothing against banter per se, have indulged in it myself on occasion, but it seems to be getting out of hand â if the children had their own play area then maybe the rest of us could get some peace to discuss matters of importance relating to BOTH of our great clubs. Swansea are performing excellently in the Premier League, and I for one would like to discuss this with the many decent Bluebird posters on this site without the gloating, and ârubbing their noses in itâ attitude of some of our children (itâs not big and itâs not clever). Similarly I would appreciate it if the junior Bluebirds would not throw their toys out of the pram with comments about how the Premier League has suddenly become absolute pants and that every team we beat are having an off day! Cardiff are also performing well beyond what was expected of them pre-season â they have a new team who are performing as a true âteamâ. Your young manager is building for the future and, for me, he is doing an excellent job â as are the players. Okay, results have been going against them lately, but there is still all to play for. I must admit to being a little embarrassed at the way some have set out to belittle what Malky is trying to do; he is building for the future, give him a break! I am chuffed with the way that the Swans are performing this season â but donât feel the need to rush over to the Cardiff board going âNa na nana naaaaah!â That is crass in the extreme and the sort of behaviour that, if repeated in âreal lifeâ in front of my many mates from Cardiff, would quite rightly result in a smack to my smug face! So I would appeal to fans of both clubs â I am sure that most of you have mates who support your local rivals; so before typing from the safe anonymity of your living room/bedroom or wherever, take a minute and consider whether you would be happy to make the same comments to someoneâs face! If the answer is no, then resist the urge and go play with the other children!
Got to give credit where it's due. Earlier tonight Jackash deleted a pointless thread from one of our neighbours that was designed simply to antagonise.
Cartoon agree with you, but unfortunately they do have one major problem child that is ruining nearly all threads on their board, it was the same on our board till he got rightly kicked off, but yes I like banter, but there is a time and place for it, mind the Bluetits these days are miserable buggers, so difficult to get much in the way of footy discussions with them, though they do have some good lads!..............
To be fair, I have found the Swansea thread a pleasure since the a-hole was removed. The Cardiff forum is taking a nosedive though. The only thing keeping it going is Swans fans popping up, and the A-hole obsession with continually posting about Swansea on the Cardiff forum! This could also be driving their own fans away but thats for their Mods and posters to address. Our mods have done a good job. Gotta have some laughs and banter though....no offence cartoon, but your OP did come across like the fun police!
I never go there as they hold no interest for me at all, if the other swans fans just followed suit we could just leave them to their own devices, hopefully they will just go away completely as nobody likes them in any case.
No offence taken - not got a problem with banter - just hate when it derails a decent debate and degenerates into name calling and point scoring! Let's continue to take the p**s out of each other - but do it in a way that adds to, not detracts from, the point of the original post! Have no desire to be the fun police, free speech is to be applauded but some take it way too far!
I quite like the genuine posters valley, and defend their right to post on our boards as long as it adds something constructive to the arguement! I post on the Cardiff board and welcome Cardiff posters on here - they are rightly as passionate about their club as we are about ours and intelligent debate is to be encouraged otherwise what is the point of these boards? Be very boring if it was just us saying how brilliant we are!!
