I have predicted us finishing on 69 points. I predict a draw against Watford and a defeat away at Palace. Give it a go! http://www.twtd.co.uk/news.php?storyid=20442&p=2#comm
I thought you could do it before I did the predictor. Got you down finishing on 70 points with draws against Palace, M'Boro, Brum and Watford while I have you down to win the rest. Still think you're in with a shout as the teams above you are tripping over each other. I predicted our results - have us down to finish on 45 points. That will be adjusted down to 42 if Everton lose their cup replay (we play them in league a week before FA Cup Semi-final).
Waiting for the final quote to come in. Didn't bother with any national companies. As a matter of interest, how many points do you reckon we'll end up with?
Second half you looked dangerous against Newcastle Carra - Krul is a top, top 'keeper. I do think you'll pick up another couple of wins and draws before the end of the season. It'll be interesting to see whether there'll be an overhaul in the summer. As for Town I'm predicting 76 points - draw with Brum and wins in the others.
I have predicted my favourite number... 69! Mis read your thread! I reckon you will finish on 46 points and safe!
I predicted 44 points for Norwich. losses to arsenal, man city, Blackburn, Everton and Spurs and draws agains Liverpool and Fulham. Have to admit, it was hard being fair for that one! As for Town, I predict 71 points, 1-1 against Birmingham, 2-2 against boro, a 2-1 loss to Watford (just coz it's Watford...) and wins against the rest. According to my score predictions we would end the season with a goals record of 78 for and 71 against, which is not entirely unlikely! Can anyone remember such a goal-filled season for Ipswich?
But in terms of aggregate of goals for and against added up. We've scored 60 goals in 37 games, this means 1.6 goals per game. So we can expect to score about 14 goals in the next 9 games, giving us a total of 74 goals. We've conceded 65 goals in 37 games, meaning we've conceded 1.8 a game. So we can expect to concede 16 goals in the remaining 9 games - a total of 81 againgst And a grand total of 155 goals in 46 games or 3.4 per game. Amazing stuff! (or perhaps not considering our defenders...)
it just goes to show that if we hadn't thrown away all those points against Reading, Forest, Blackpool, Leeds we would have been in the mix right now!
Another season of ifs and buts.... but on paper all we need is a couple of decent defenders and a keeper and we'll be ok.
O/T, but shouldn't you be announcing the winner of the Budgie Competition Competition tonight? I'm up for a bit of wumming on their board...
