Right, I am at work bored so I was thinking about who I would like during the summer.

So my question is who would you like during the summer, and why?
They also have to be realistic targets, we all know Messi won't come to us, even though we would all love it to happen.

    I would love:

Agbonlahor - because of his pace, he can shoot and has worked with MON before. I think he can get the best out of Agbonlahor.

Moses - I think he is exciting and would love him here

Rhodes - Someone should take a pop at this guy, he is awesome and knows where the net is. IMO would by miles better than Ji and Wickham

Notice how they are all attackers. I think this is something we are badly missing.

    Clint Dempsey..............truly awesome player.

    Srephen Warnock at l/b

For a striker....don't know how realistic chance we would have though...Edin Dzeko at City....

I forgot about Dempsey, he would be awesome. On FM I always try to buy him. I remember winning the prem and he was my RM.
Warnock is a good shout, previously worked with MON so very realistic.

Dzeko...would love him but imagine he's on about 120K a week, abit out of our budget.

I like the three the op mentioned, paticuarly Moses, I think if they go down and we get a bid in early he could be ours.

I like Hoillet at Blackburn and Whittingham from Cardiff (sp?). If we are looking for a left back another option could be Ward from Wolves if they go down.

Think Moses could be a very good signing just hope he stays under the radar a bit, not sure Agbonlahor would move to us seems like an England cliquey bitch and won't get games playing for us. Think Rhodes would be a gamble remember John Stead scored for fun like Rhodes at Huddersfield soon as he came to PL he couldn't hit a barn door sat on the lock. We still need a LB as I think Bridge will go back to City (wages), we also need a CB for first team and an attack minded midfielder who can open up defences with a pass. Agreed at the minute our priority should be a CF preferably one who can score.

I would like Grant Holt and Hoillet. I think the lb slot needs looking at still, I would give Bridge till the end of the season to prove himself.

I would not want Agbonglhor, he has got a bad attitude. Besides I doubt he would leave the midlands because he has something like 4 kids from 4 different women down here.

I know it's been thrown around before, but Steven Fletcher would be a good pick up I think.

Makes the cup run oh sooooooo important. The further we go, the more dosh we get.....

Just as important, to buy we need to sell ( I doubt MON will be allowed to have the HUGE squad numbers which Keane had)
So who do we sell, and what fees could be received (realistically) to build up a transfer kitty?

When Wolves go down id go after Steven Fletcher, has double figures in the worst team in the league this year and he'd do very well here, bit of an all rounder. Likewise Moses, who tbh if he came would be a replacement for Sess. I think if Rodellaga goes to a prem team next year then there'll be a 'Yakubu effect' would be a gamble but who thought yakubu would have 15 goals in march.

I've said for the past two years id like Whittingham from Cardiff, its astonishing that he's still playing in the championship, but like some norwich and swansea players have he'll take the prem by storm.

Gylfi Siguurdson currently on loan at Swansea, fell down the pecking order at hoffenheim bizzarlly after being voted player of the year in his first season. They'd want to recoup most of the 7m they paid Reading for him but this lad will be at a champions league club in the next few year, we should get in the now while we can.

Bassong, a very good cb that just needs a place to call home, surplus at Spurs so could get a player who's worth a lot more than we might pay, right age also.

Warnock is having a mare of a season at Villa so maybe he needs a change and with money tight at Villa I dont think they'd turn there noses up and a decent bid.

Would still want a 'goalscorer' from abroad though to cap off any signings, think Fletcher could work well with any type of forward.

Might be wrong but alot of those players 'contracts expiring' status refers to their current loan and not their contracts at their parent clubs. That being said there's about 6-7 players there id have realistically. Figueroa on a free, Diame loves the Sol.

I'm not really interested in names, as its pointless and only Marty knows who if really wants but more the calibre of them.

Who we may or may not attract,or buy, will depend on the next 3 cup games imo. We won't qualify for Europe via the league this season as its just to much to ask from where we were back in December but we could get to the FA Cup final imo.

Everton will be a harder game than Liverpool imo. The reds showed last night how vulnerable they still are and I'd fancy am even game at wembley, if we can edge a very difficult game next Tuesday.

If we make the final, and It's against either spurs or chelsea, Europe will be almost assured. That will then dictate the calibre of player we may then go for and attract.

We don't have to win the Cup to gain European football and just getting there may be enough.

However, if we actually could win it then suddenly we are elevated even higher. Players, good players anyway, are attracted by money first and the chance to win trophies second. Europe will afford us more chance of larger revenues and better players.

That's why the Cup is of the absolute ultimate height of importance right now for me.

Get to the final and our path through history will be altered for ever.

Guys look at some of the players out of contract across Europe on that link a few comments above some of them could really do a good job here

IMO we should be looking at...

RB - Nathaniel Clyne (Crystal Palace - 5m) - Good long term Right Back, only 20 is going to be a very good player and would be good back up to Bardo.

CB - Sebastien Bassong (Spurs - FREE AGENT) - Good, quick, big, strong defender. Only 25 and has lost his way over the last couple of season's, MoN is th sort of manager to bring the best out of a player like Bassong

LB - Wayne Bridge (Man City - ?m) Think Man City will be desperate to get him off there books so think we could pick the lad up for free if not a couple of million at most, also think they would pay a percentage of his wages to fit into our wage structure.

W - Miroslav Stoch (Fenerbahche - 7m) - Fantastic winger and only 22 is perfect for a counter attacking team, fast, direct and can score goals, was on the books of Chelsea and they certainly should not of sold him.

W/FWD - Jefferson Farfan (Schalke - FREE AGENT) - Like Stoch perfect for a counter attacking team, the lad is strong, quick and can score goals, the type of player we want to see at the SoL, can play upfront or out wide.

CF - Olivier Giroud (Montpellier - 15m) - Our Marquee signing you could say and with Gyan out the door and 6m already recieved I am sure we are going to get another 7 or 8m for him then it should all be used to help sign this lad, big, strong, great in the air, great on the deck and knows were the goal is.

Out - Angeleri, Kyrgiakos, Bramble, Kilgallon, Elmohamady, Gardner, Riveros, Gyan, Bendtner, Ji (loan)

    Team...

    ------------------- Mignolet -------------------

    - Bardsley --- O'Shea ----- Brown - Richardson -

    -------- Cattermole -------- Vaughan ----------

    - Farfan --------- Sessegnon ---------- Stoch -

    -------------------- Giroud --------------------

    subs

    Bassong
    Bridge
    Gordon
    Larsson
    Colback
    McClean
    Campbell

For anyone who aint seen much of Stoch, Farfan and Giroud take a watch of these, these 3blokes would guarentee us top 7 IMO...

If we want to keep the likes of Sess we need 2 or 3 players of similar quality to us and show ambition that top 10 is not enough we want to push on even further, if we could do that Sess will stay IMO
