the commentry i heard on BBC said stoke played absolutely crap and only had the goal shot as a decent shot....and that analysis is spoton..we have lost our steel and drive....Lennon is our equilibrium
Huge game saturday avoiding defeat gives us a chance , lose and it will be very hard to see us hanging on
It felt like the game was against ourselves rather than Stoke, Dona. We lacked creativity, but they didn't create a single meaningful chance, other than their goal. Nice decision:
can we get out of this?? really?? seem a bit heavy minded and lead footed to me.....i though HR would have enough in his locker to be able to concentrate on our game instead of always worrying about the opposition!
ill take being lucky in any match..ill take a dirty victory...sleeves rolled up victory.....lucky refs decisions...a goal that wasnt, given to us...ill have that!
Sorry but I can't laugh tonight. Too depressed. Don't care about rivals except the one who right now are having masses of luck being outplayed and still winning whereas we are the opposite. I am going to drink away my soorrow.
Serious question, how did Spurs go from being title contenders to fighting for a CL place? And please don't blame the speculation of the England job. Tiredness? Lack of mental strength?
Well VdV and Carlos Tevez (put Nasri in) leave us hanging on by fingertips and given one final chance v the Chavs on Saturday. Its just so typically Spurs! Lets review our season so far, we start with a bit of a riot, our manager then has a heart attack, our manager then goes to court, then Capello resigns sparking another massive manager distraction, then an opponent nearly dies in front of our team. Only Eastenders has a more ridiculous plot.
for me if its a serious question and not a wum attempt ...id say balls!! desire!!!....and yes a bit of focus and lack of tactical nous by the gaffer.
Well if we can get a win at Chelsea then we go 8 points clear of them. They were fairly ropey tonight so we never know. Arsenal have had 6 wins on the trot but will that continue? It's not all gloom,as has been said we've stopped losing so maybe wins now. I was confident of a win tonight as we all were. I don't know whether you lads have noticed but we seldom seem to do well against teams who have ex Spurs players in them especially in the first season after they've gone. Crouch and Palacios etc. Wins will come.
do you think thats something to gain consolation from Thor...surely you dont..call me what you want but that thought does not do a thing for me...there is a serious achilles heel at our club that needs to be overcome.
The thing is, you outplayed Stoke, Stoke were atrocious... and you were at home. When you lost to Man City, you were simply unlucky. Since then, you just haven't been playing well until tonight. You probably would've won that Bolton game too. Probably is down to focus as well I guess. I wouldn't have been upset if you had finished above us this season since you had played the best football but I must say, I am surprised at how quickly Tottenham have dropped points.
A point is better than nothing considering the shocking run we've been on. I didn't expect us to get anything out of the game considering how badly Saturday must've affected our mentality. I can't see this being the result to galvanise our season though. It's incredible how our season started with us setting a new club record for wins and now we're nearly at the point where we're setting a new club record for fewest points in a set period.
Given that some Spurs fans we're thinking this was an easy 3pts.. Are the Spurs fans happy with just a pt tonight?
