very simple. John barnes. superheros; 1. superman = gay. 2. batman = wierdo and the 70's **** one really is off putting 3. spiderman = weakass. 4. hulk = not a hero. 5. when i grew up this bascially leaves wonder woman and you can bascially bet your ass wonder woman was much watched
They all came along a little later, hence them still playing now. This sounds like one of them 'my dogs wifes sister...' things but Gordan Banks is/was my Nans cousin. Not sure what relation that is to me, nor have I ever met him.
The one and only Jan Molby..man of myth and legend. Could run a game from the centre circle, and pass a ball like no other.
LOL, have a look at the American pilot episode which never got taken up, it was truly **** http://isohunt.com/torrent_details/323951037/wonder woman 2011?tab=summary RAMBO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Micheal Owen for me, then i would say Torres. Both of whom betrayed me (I read Torres's "Autobiography" FFS- ****e Read then he leaves just as I finish, its suffice to say it went immediately in the bin) Now i'm a Gerrard man, he will never let me down (even though i, like many, was disappointed with the Chelsea fiasco)
My dad first took me to a field in 86, Rush had just gone to Juventus, but we signed my boyhood hero. John Barnes.
I used to think Toshack and Keegan were gods as well as Heighway who always seemed to score at the near post after a mazy run from a narrow angle. In hindsight he probably did it a couple of times but when you are 12/13 they stick with you. Then I saw Hansens first home game when he trapped the ball in our area surrounded by opposition players and calmly dribbled out of the area and passed the ball into midfield. I remember the Kop shouting "get rid" and "hoof it" which was the standard central defender attitude at the time. He became one of my favourite players as nothing seemed to ruffle him. I liked Hyppia for the same reason they were both able to prevent panic and always seemed to have more time on the ball than other defenders.
I idolised Rob Jones when I was a kid. Probably because I played RB too. Robbie Fowler is an obvious one, I think every LFC fan loved him
John Barnes. Enuff said, but he was coming to the end of his career and changed his game to suit his shortcoming, bit like Giggs. Later on it was Fowler nd Collymore.
Emelyn Hughes and Kevin Keegan. We moved from Rock Ferry to Scotland and those two were the most passionate in the national team about beating the Jocks.
Tim Howard! He's part of the reason I started supporting Manchester United, I played Goalkeeper and to have an American goalkeeper go play for one of the biggest teams in the world was sort of a big deal. Plus he has tourettes, and the fact that he has managed to overcome and play with it is nothing short of admirable. Oh and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Best Liverpool player's I've seen was Steve Highway and Emlyn Hughes Best player's IMO I've actually seen are Stanley Matthews and George Best both were magical.
For me... Stevie G! Ah I'm so very young. At one stage could have said Owen but... well. Used to love Babbel for some reason, and Hyypia.
