Apparently Norwich have a young lad in the middle of the park, looks like our old skipper Jonny Howson but he's called Howzon according to the commentator, so it can't be him. <doh>

I don't think it's our old boy because he looks bloody awful!

Howson? Is that not the guy that was going to miss most of the rest of the season through injury?

Nah, we said he was going to come back late feb. He ended up coming back mid March and started playing as soon as he was back. Would be nice to have him available now though don't you think?

I don't think we miss him, his style of play would struggle to fit in with the current team. Where would you play him?

We've been playing 4-2-3-1, why wouldn't he fit in? Right down the middle. Gives us a bit more flexibility since McCormack can play on the wing if required, and he will need resting at some point.

Considering the state of affairs with our squad and how we're lacking quality in depth, we'd have been better with Howson than without. Outside the starting 11 all we've got is crap.

I don't see Howson as the type of player who gets stuck in like Brown and Clayton, going forward he was quality but his defensive skills left a lot to be desired.

We pretty much played this formation at times last year (Johnson and Kilkenny were brown and clayton). Leaving johnny to be 1 of the 3 behind becchio. Theres no question he would fit in but its all irrelevent now

Considering that was only Howson's second game back after long term injury, I thought he did quite well. I fancy him to get of the mark with his first goal against Wolves Saturday <ok>

P.S. And I clapped him too, my wife and sister ? Well she clapped as well <doh>

I don't think he'd have made any difference last night. Hardly the greatest defensive player.
