They have terraces at London road (peterborough) and both home fans and away fans love it!!
The away end ALWAYS sells out due to being all terrace. Its a great experience thats slowly fading out.

think about it, a old football ground (not stadium like our emerites) can terrace all they want, but saying that out 60,000 stadia could be 85,000 if one of the ends is a terraced one.

I think there should be SOME terracing just for the noise factor alone.
Fact is people tend to sing more when there standing up and to be fair, the emirates isn't the noisiest ground is it?
Id love a terrace at the emirates!!

No from me. It's only a matter of time before another disaster and then everyone goes back to hating them for 20 years.

I think it could work, but it would take 1 match to ruin it all.

The Premier League have already stated that they are opposed to the return of terracing

Premier league are out of touch with the ordinary fan. The cite that all seaters have brought women and children into football grounds, great. That's not going to disappear with the introduction of safe standing. But it would give choice to those who want to stand.

Also it would bring down the cost for the average fan:

"The federation explained its reasoning by saying it is a "social function" of football to keep ticket prices affordable, thereby not excluding the "socially disadvantaged" from attending matches. Prices in Germany for standing areas, at around €12-14 (£10.50-£12.20), are around a quarter of standard prices for seats at top Premier League clubs"
