Markus Liebherr Memorial Cup - Saturday 14th July

So as announced today, the Markus Liebherr Memorial Cup will take place at St. Mary's on Saturday 14th July and will include a lap of the pitch from the Olympic Torch.

So my question is what teams would you like to see compete for the cup this year? I know it's a few months away yet before the moany tw@ts jump on this thread.

Regardless of the team, a big turn out will be just fine.

Maybe we could have a friendly game with poopey! but could you call that a friendly game? Would help them raise some cash for the new season! Bonus will give us a good opportunity to thrash them by a big score line again

Won't it be the same two teams as last year? I think i remember reading somewhere that it would be the same three teams involved every year. Probably wrong!

I am well aware that the trophy is not cup-shaped hence the photo I linked in the post.

I'd personally like to see the same two teams visit again, Bilbao have a link with Saints in their history and I'd love a return of the friendly Scottish Werder Bremen fans that visited last year.

Regardless, I hope the turn out is better than last year.
