Was it a fit or heart attack or what? They showed nowt on my stream & it was over by the time I got it on!
Nothing. There was no one near him. He just dropped. The situation is horribly similar to what happened to Marc-Vivien Foé. I really hope I'm wrong.
was challenged early in the game for a free kick but nothing other than that. My thoughts are with him.
My God - puts everything into perspective once again. The fact they abandoned the match speaks volumes
There's been a stack of these in the last few years, are the guys 'over trained'? It's extraordinary, I smoke, drink, eat meat, I do exercise, but it's nowhere near enough. Are the lads in such a state that there bodies are at the point of breaking? Is it possible to be too fit? The lad is 23. Foe, De La Red, Dnaiel Jarque, sure there's more. It's just not right lads, and it's ****ing awful, the Foe one was deeply disturbing to watch. All the best Fabrice, the whole land is with you.
Seemed more like a fit or seizure the way he was shaking as opposed to a heart attack. Awful feeling that he will be pronounced dead at hospital. CPR will be performed for 20-30 mins then a doc will step in. Bolton will not make an official announcement until his family have been informed. Hope that I am wrong and the lad pulls thru.
It might be that their bodies are so highly tuned, one thing can completely mess everything up. I think it was Bruce Lee who died after taking a headache tablet, it just sent his body crazy.
If he wasn't breathing when he was stretchered, that's close to 11 mins. It's horrific, I prey for the lad.
It's a condition called hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. It's the enlarging of the heart muscle with no obvious cause. All athlete's hearts increase in size due to their training, but HCM causes a considerably larger increase in the heart muscle compared to anything natural which can happen through normal hypertrophy. It's a condition which anyone can have, regardless of their activity levels. However, it's only so noticeable in athletes because HCM often only leads to cardiac arrest during periods of very heavy exercise. Someone with a less active lifestyle could live with HCM for their entire life without any issue, as there's no heavy exercise to set the cardiac arrest off.
Agree totally and unfortunately with this statement. It looked so bad and BBC said he wasn't breathing on the stretcher when carried off the field. All my thought are with him and really hope the lad makes it. Really hope I'm wrong about this. I'm close to tears here and I've only watched it on TV
