The Club has announce that Karim Fayed will become Vice Chairman - http://www.fulhamfc.com/Club/News/NewsArticles/2012/March/ViceChairmanStatement.aspx Seems a positive move and a sign that MO wants to keep the Club in the family. Karim is a regular at the Cottage and clearly has a keen interest in FFC. Can't help but wonder though if this is the first step in MO easing himself out. If so, will it mean future purchases will have to be financed by sales ?
Don't know much about Fayed jr, although found this interview with him a few years ago: http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/lifestyle/health/karim-fayed-the-sound-engineer-6794119.html It's a bit of a sycophantic article, but interesting nonetheless. Sounds like a very different character to his old man. He doesn't look like someone who could run the club himself so would need to rely on the likes of Alastair Mac, but he does seem to have the club's best interests at heart.
I think this can only be good news for Fulham. If he didn't have an interest in the club he would be there. As he's got an interest the AF family will continue to invest which can only be a good thing. Personally I think this can only be a good thing ... Plus if you google him he's got a cracking looking bird!
