Because of abuse by a small minority we are trying to put some extra mod powers on cross board threads but its proving hard to do.

For that reason we have taken them off the system for now, should have little effect on us but wanted to let you know.

Apart from missing the weekly cross-board with whoever we're playing I'm happy to be honest. Even they often degenerated after one team lost and most of the others were just obvious attemps by one set of supporters to gloat or get in digs. It won't stop the Trolls but at least it should be easier to get rid of them.

As for GC... I'm pretty sure some of the stuff on there crosses legal boundaries at times, but regardless of that it allows the ugliest side of human nature free rein when it is a pretty much consequence-free internet environment. Not saying all of it my any means and also I freely admit I only ever went there by accident (those damn cross board threads again) so my views are certainly not garnered by comprehensive empirical research!

never ever been on Gc and the mags cross threads were only for back up, when we went down their throats, as usually the instigator op didn't have the nonce, to defend himself without that back up.
