Okay, I know the whole Sky thing has been done to death, but humour me with this quick one. Is it just me over-extrapolating what I've happened to catch, or has Brundle massively increased his level of plugging the current employer compared to previous years?
Btw the sky insider has posted a pic of the weather on twitter and its stopped raining for now. Sorry cant like picture as I'm on the iPad and it wont allow me to link the thing.
He's probably just using Twitter more as he gets used to it. I think he only started 'tweeting' midway through last season.
Yeah, I noticed that too. Also, he seems very defensive about it compared to the other staff that made the switch to Sky. However, I think this is a reaction in part to fans who had expressed their unhappiness with his decision on twitter and forums etc. I can't remember where I read it, possibly in F1 Racing, but I think he hinted that there was a few things he didn't like or agree with at the beeb. Maybe he's just really enthusiastic and happy about the way Sky is going to present their coverage or maybe he's just happy that he doesn't have to hang around with Eddie and Jake whilst they lark about on camera instead of presenting the race.
This is going to be weird. I normally set my alarm nice and early, to get up and watch practice, now, thanks to the **** murdoch, i'm ****ed. I didn't get sky because i pay enough bills as it is. I beginning to think about stopping following f1, and concentrate on something else instead.
I think having a group of bosses who are prepared to cut your hours in half at a moments' notice would probably be the main thing he disagreed with.
I've just looked at practice times, I didn't realise we were so close. The new season starts in under 3 hours Does anyone know how to stream it?
Maybe the wrong thread, but its a joke we have to wait till China to get the 1st BBC race. I didnt think much about the sky deal, but its onlying dawning on me now how much of a disadvantage we are at. We are being pushed out of a sport we love and no English channel can see the hunger for F1 live on freeview.
Not long now till the season starts. I am very surprised by Bob Bell's comments - Sauber ahead of Ferrari? Even Fry's comments surprise me, as no team bosses have been brave enough to predict laptime gaps. I wonder what makes him think Red Bull will start so far ahead when everyone else thinks it's close between Red Bull and McLaren at the front. It might have something to do with their B-spec exhaust maybe? More Ferrari parts have recently arrived but a dry track is CRUCIAL! Where is Ninja? We need a weather update.
Going off those on Twitter its been raining all morning but it seems to have stopped. Wonder if they'll all be bothered to put the work in to make a dry line round the track.
For those complaining about not being able to watch you can watch it online: http://www.firstrowsports.eu/watch/113369/1/watch-f1-australian-grand-prix---practice-1.html It's currently streaming the Sky F1 channel so it is working.
