Come on! Is anyone surprised by both United and City's score lines? I couldn't see City wanting to play thursday AND Sunday when United will play on Saturdays. Not for a mickey mouse cup that even the likes of spurs and Stoke spat at in the past.

I'd like to disagree with this post as it generalizes too much, but ManU was made to look average because they simple couldn't deal with their high pressing game. All English teams seem to be having problems with teams who defend/pressure really high up, like a lot of the Spanish sides do. Arsenal-vs-Barcelona might not be the best comparison because in that case Barcelona was just simply a much superior team, but if there was a single element of their game which completely disabled us it was that high pressing game. English teams just need a lot more space to be effective with I guess.
