We look forward to our trip up north This coming Sunday afternoon, And let me say, for what it´s worth It´s always fun playing the `Toon`, A great bunch of fans you are there With a straightforward black and white view, Who stir up a great atmosphere Irrespective of just who is who, And we´ll try to add our own bit Of colour and song on the day, When the Yellow Army make the trip To Tyneside to watch our lads play, It´s been a good year for us both Don´t you think, with not much to regret, And with ten games left I´d be loathe To predict how things will end just yet, So Europe is still there for you I guess, if you can keep up steam, While for our fledgling Premier League crew A few more points should seal our dream, And if we should add to them here Delighted I think we´d all be, Although as so often this year When away we can just play carefree, With nowt to lose, we´ll have a go P. Lambert knows no other way, We´ll try to put on a good show And hopefully add to the fray, I watched your game on Monday night And suffice to say, it wasn´t dull, But´twas double-dutch to me, the fight Between R. van Persie and Krul, So I hope dull isn´t the word To describe this game, Sunday pm, When two of the top tier´s fine birds Go beak to beak right to the end, And should we take something back home From this, our northernmost test, I hope none will have cause to moan Of a theft which took place in your nest. Yours very chirpingly,
Brilliant as usual RBF, the new pc seems to be working just fine! I feel a surprise in store for this one! 2 - 3 to the smaller birds methinks!
We actually have central defenders this time and a Tiote. We've been ****e lately though, 1-0 will do.
I watched your game on Monday night And suffice to say, it wasn´t dull, But´twas double-dutch to me, the fight Between R. van Persie and Krul, That verse is worthy of a special
Very good I have to say. We desperately need a win this weekend and I think we might get it. Norwich have done really well and seem a good side. We got a good going over down there when we had a few problems. Not to take anything away from Norwich though, they played well and are a good side. We're a bit healthier now but our form has yet to get up to the heights of early doors. We're missing Steven Taylor badly for a start and Cabaye seems to have run out of steam (understandable). I expect a really tough game but I'm going for a 3-1 win. Ba is on his leanest spell since coming to England so I reckon he is guaranteed to notch. Ben Arfa is just coming to his best and they might find him a handful.
It'll be a good game and Norwich will give it a good go but i think the toon to take it 2-1. Ba and HBA for us, Holt for you's. Nice rhyme you got there RBF
Hope you enjoy your visit RBF even if you do have to return home empty handed. We (and the ref, and his assistant) were generous to a fault when we played you down there so it's got to be pay back time on Sunday.
Probably be Perch and Ferguson if Santon, Taylor and Simpson are out. Shame as Simpson has improved the last few weeks.
With Cissé and Ba You ought to go far But watch out for Mr. Grant Holt, Soon to have his name In our Hall of Fame He´ll give anyone quite a jolt But Coloccini Is back now I see Which should help your defensive line, Though minus full backs If that is a fact Would probaby suit us just fine And if Cabaye Is tired, as you say Well that would do no harm at all, He pulls all the strings For your scoring kings A dangerous man on the ball But this should be good To watch, and it could Be quite a close game in my view, We´ll be in with a shout And I´ll stick my neck out And say it´ll end up 2-2.
I remember Pardew coming out with the same stuff, "centre backs were injured" etc, did no one tell him or you that we had been playing nearly all season with our two main centre backs injured, right back playing centre back, etc. Come on, no excuses we beat you fair and square. Like you I'm hoping for a good competitive game, a point for us will be great. ILD OTBC
We beat Bolton, with a clean sheet, with a left back, two right backs playing centre back and a right winger playing at right back.
